Sombra
I've just put a 4,7 GB cd full with my files.I'm gonna copy everything on it to my older pc so it's not only on a cd. My parents are gonna buy a new fence because the current is dieing, no new pc I'll see how long this hardrive will last, then gonna buy a new one. I'll see how it's gonna work out with it By the way, I spoke about OEM because I bought an OEM system which came with this HDD Why not just put that HDD into your current machine? join the 11%
Exxon
That older one is 160 GB, that isn't enough for Windows and all of my games (and that's not a joke!). Besides, I don't know where to get my drivers (only one I know is for GPU) and even then, that pc is still being used sometimes by my sister

yoječ
@Exxon - you posted only the lower part of SMART, not the whole thing... Anyway, I can see there 2 UDMA CRC errors. It's not a big deal but you might want to check if the SATA cable is non-damaged and connected properly.
Wolf68k
I'm confused. First you say it's 49C then your screen shot shows 39C. So which is it? 49C is on the border line of being bad, 50C is bad. 39C is fine
Exxon
Wolf, the pc woke up after being in Standby mode, that's why it isn't that hot. @yojo2 I'll make another screenshot of it and check the cable now. (I just turned the pc on) WAIT I gues I know why it's hot Mabye those cables are the cause EDIT The pc has been active for 50 minutes now and the temperature reached 44C Edited August 21, 2011 by Exxon
yoječ
The SMART is completely fine, apart from those UDMA CRC errors I mentioned earlier. 44C is an acceptable temp, but just barely. Does your case allow installing fan on front? If yes, it'd be advisable.
1st gtaROCKER
Yeah, you definitely want to tidy those cables up. 1. Unconnect all the wires. 2. Rearrange neatly so there is lots of room for air; space them out. 3. Connect them again.

You obviously haven't seen the case he has to work with.. http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtop...st&p=1060662338
1st gtaROCKER
Wow. That's, ermm...complicated. You could go to a Computer store and ask one of the people there. They are all happy to help, and are knowledgeable when it comes to Computers.
Exxon
The older pc is a Dell Dimension 3100 (Intel integrated ftw ) and this is the case Would it be better if I'd use that case?
