Umm GTA V 3D might happen  , but how maney people hav a TV for 3D option , like hell i could only dream about it , in fact i still play PS3 games  on a regular SDTV and enjoy it .

3D gives me headaches. If this is our future, god help us all.

Games and TV in general will all head towards this option as times goes on. It seems to be the future, although it may not be that long before 4D becomes the norm.

 

If you don't like it personally, then I doubt you will have too much to worry about. Like on TV, I doubt R* will force the user into 3D. It will probably simply be an addition for those who are lucky enough to actually have 3D.

Rockstar wouldn't even dare f*ck up Max Payne THAT much, no offence, Max Payne =/= GTA, they shouldn't even make it like GTA, Max Payne is a Linear game with multiple paths, focusing on a more psychological insight into the main character with influences from Noir, Neo-Noir, Early to Mid 90's Dark Comic Books and John Woo films. It is not GTA, going Open World would just kill the game beyond of what they've already ruined but tried to redeem.

Have you played Max Payne 1 or 2? Do you really think adding Open World would benefit that? No, it'd just be a messy distraction. That's like saying "Hey, you know Call of Duty game, you know what would make it better? Open World!" the gameplay style and set up just don't work for it, so even if it did have Open World, it'd just feel half assed and lame with nothing to do at all. Seriously, go and play Max Payne 1 and 2, not just for my reason, but because they are brilliant games.

They invented free roaming so it's likely to become a standard in all their games - it's what gamers like and want, gives the games more life plus time to produce new ones. You finish a game and then your left to explore the world from a different perspective with no time limits or restrictions. It's what made GTA a stellar franchise and pushed the envelope to what it's now. So yes, that is the route their games will take as long as they are produced and overseer by the originals. You haven't seen nothing yet.

Everyone's got a stylized HUD like GTA, so there's something that's for sure, but it's less invasive, Like that word <-

 

The idea that you keep the playing screen free of distraction, and the WORLD is your Oyster, man,... borrowing some Tony Montanaism for it, You take what's yours! haha

 

I think despite the RPG elements in debate, or becoming a criminal empire, you'll always expand upon where you start out in a GTA game, and it will unlock more things as you go. Speaking of Saint's Row... that is all about Empire building and controlling the City, if that's a favorite element of GTA, SR delivers more of the same.

 

 

{I bought Max Payne, since it was originally a rental for me, but still not gone back to PS2, it won't work on my 40Gig PS3 hahaha, I'd be nice if you took a 60GB PS3 Bluray and gave backward compatibility to a newer PS3, however I read there were two 40Gig model SKUs or at least years produced, hmmmm OT, I know }

 

One thing I appreciate in both RDR and GTA and why I think Open World is best, you aren't rushing from the game pressure from one area to the next, I get that on the COD series, where I can't stop and enjoy the view, and in Uncharted you can, it's really an Indy Jones type of game experience with Uncharted, and I'd love the James Bond games if they were more like Naughty Dog or Rockstar Games making those

The casting calls, and web domains could only be for GTA, same goes for the UI and HUD design specialist they were hiring.

 

Those are all end fase jobs, so they must really be polishing it off..

 

I know this is very childish, but if enough of us came together and demanded some info, it might happen.

I had read some where there are 25 dimensions in total. Who knows?

You know what I notice the same thing. When I first got Black Ops, I could play for hours on the big (SD) TVs, but with this HDTV my eyes get tired.
