@Royal55 lol you call me stupid? I can post whenever i want since other ppl are spamming i can comment and spam too. I replied to slamman because i thought there was some kind of hidden message, but not related to gta and even if there is message it was putted by admins just for lolz like where is the blue thread which also was waste of time, not for me but for people who contributed to that thread thinking that it is solid clue to location or information on next gta.

*OXM confirms announce this summer

*Gamespot confirms GTA V development is well under way

*Strauss Zelnick earnings speculation points to GTA V.

*Former R* Graphic Artist's resume lists GTA V

*GTA V listed on stunt man's resume

*And this very large, very off-topic thread, that began with a very cryptic and nonsensical post--from an OP who last spoke when he provided info about IV.

Open Audacity. Hit Project->Import Raw Data and open the OP's image. Select Signed 8bit PCM, Little-Endian, Mono, and sample rate of 44100. Most of these should be default values.

Select all (Ctrl+A), and filter out noise. To do that hit Effect->Noise Removal, and push the Get Noise Profile button. Now go to Effect->Noise Removal again, and set the slider all the way to the left. Hit Remove Noise.

Finally, you want to get rid of high-pitch noise that's left over. Go to Effect->FFT Filter. You need to make the graph look like a step, really high from 0 to 3000Hz, and really low after 3000Hz. Hit Ok.

Now play the file. You will hear a voice that clearly says, "GTA is near".

I followed your instructions to the letter, but all I got was a low whine, like a distant lawnmower. I turned the volume up to full and found it was a voice, but what it said was:

"We find that whole communities suddenly fix their minds upon one object, and go mad in its pursuit [i couldn't hear the next few words] people become simultaneously impressed with one delusion, and run after it, till their attention is caught by some new folly more captivating than the first . . ."

Is that all sarcasm, or you really did hear that? lol.gif

Whatever it be, it proves that d33pthroat is an admin scam.

biggrin.gif A Picture is worth a thousand words? Maybe not this time...

I think the key are the words in both pictures. In the RDR picture you see the mirror image of

Get back on your horse.

In the mirror image the only letter whose flipped image makes another letter is the 'b' it becomes a 'd'

so if your following along our RDR picture reads

Get dack on your horse

The GTAIV Picture has the words

take bernie to

So our full anagram should read, with the 'd' instead of 'b'

Get dack on your horse take bernie to

So I began looking for obvious thing like Grand Thef....No F..but lets think of this some more. What do John Marston and Niko Bellic have in common ? Their both looking for someone..John seeks his former gang and Niko hunts..you guessed it FLORIAN Kravitch...whom if you recall is Bernie Crane..

So our anagram no reads..

Get dack on your horse take Florian to

so

GeT DAck ON yoUR HorsE Take FloriAn To...or GRAND THEFT AUTO...

The remaining letters being ECKYOORSAKLORIAO.....which I have yet to find a suitable answer for just my though on the subject maybe someone else has a solution for the remaining letters?

I recently opened the OP's image in notepad and read this properties:

"http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/ <?xpacket begin="" id="W5M0MpCehiHzreSzNTczkc9d"?> <x:xmpmeta xmlns:x="adobe:ns:meta/" x:xmptk="Adobe XMP Core 5.0-c060 61.134777, 2010/02/12-17:32:00 "> <rdf:RDF xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#"> <rdf:Description rdf:about="" xmlns:xmp="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/" xmlns:xmpMM="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/mm/" xmlns:stRef="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/sType/ResourceRef#" xmp:CreatorTool="Adobe Photoshop CS4 Windows""

Kindly visit this link before reading further:Something about XML

What I make out of it is that the image file contains hidden data:

Serialized XMP can be embedded into a significant number of popular file formats, without breaking their readability by non-XMP-aware applications

Metadata may be written into a digital photo file that will identify who owns it, copyright & contact information, what camera created the file, along with exposure information and descriptive information such as keywords about the photo, making the file searchable on the computer and/or the Internet. Some metadata is written by the camera and some is input by the photographer and/or software after downloading to a computer.

Photographic Metadata Standards are governed by organizations that develop the following standards. They include, but are not limited to:

    XMP – Extensible Metadata Platform (an Adobe standard)

I don't understand much about this technical aspect of this image but if someone is here who understands it, I request you to help us with it. Who knows, we may find the hidden message?

Also the date and time:2010/02/12-17:32:00, is this the date of file creation?

Edit:

Forget about finding a hidden message:

"<x:xmpmeta xmlns:x="adobe:ns:meta/" x:xmptk="Adobe XMP Core 5.0-c060 61.134777, 2010/02/12-17:32:00 "> <rdf:RDF xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#"> <rdf:Description rdf:about="" xmlns:xmp="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/" xmlns:xmpMM="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/mm/" xmlns:stRef="http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/sType/ResourceRef#" xmp:CreatorTool="Adobe Photoshop CS5 Windows"

This are the lines in the image file of GTAV.net logo. Same date.

Am I doing something silly? Or is it actually something worth seeing?

Am I proving that d33pthroat's image and GTAV.net's logo are created on the same date by the same person using the same software?

Someone please clarify.. panic.gif

Ok its a joke, how the f*ck would i know that when i didnt even heard f*cking audio, somebody said that there is hidden message and i believed him, stupid me,....

>> I would say that's not credible for the fact pictures that are stills DON"T have AUDIO, and that program is for audio editing not video or photos, that's why. If there's some audio, you'd have stills that elapse over time, like a slide show. (Audacity is a free app that uses your OEM hardware, laptop or PC to create more audio file options then most other apps, it's not to turn pictures into audio that weren't crafted by you in the first place, I've not used it fully, but I do have it.)

Referring loosely to the last post in the thread, it's more a joke then anything serious ^

The audio joke about GENESIS the picture is just no feasible, as the text seems to point out a tongue in cheek joking tone anyway, without trying to get it to work I can tell it's an attempt at humor.

@ whoever was saying something about a Vita/Wii GTA earlier..

I believe that they're developing both a new GTA title for PS3, 360 and WiiU, also on top of that a Vita and Wii title.

Another possibility is a standalone WiiU or Wii title, or a standalone Vita Title.

They're cooking up some good stuff, I can tell you that much.

I probably said that, but I'd been thinking the same anyway, you can't have the Rockstar Toronto people making the major console games, they do the PSP Stories, and DS CTW for example, the smaller R* Games studios. I tend to think of Rockstar San Diego as the same size or importance as Rockstar North, but North is in Scotland AND NYC

Someone please clarify..  panic.gif

Nope, you are reading it wrong.

The dates you are looking at are the build dates for the XMP core. Since both images are made in Photoshop, both used the same XMP core, and so both stored the same build-date.

<x:xmpmeta xmlns:x="adobe:ns:meta/" x:xmptk="Adobe XMP Core 5.0-c060 61.134777, 2010/02/12-17:32:00        ">

But that's not all. There is another tag that tells you which version of Photoshop was used.

From GTAV logo.

CreatorTool="Adobe Photoshop CS5 Windows"

From OP's image.

CreatorTool="Adobe Photoshop CS4 Windows"

See the problem with your theory? One author used CS4, while the other used CS5. Different versions of Photoshop.

>> I would say that's not credible for the fact pictures that are stills DON"T have AUDIO, and that program is for audio editing not video or photos, that's why. If there's some audio, you'd have stills that elapse over time, like a slide show.

You can store images in audio data or audio in image data. It's trivial, really. Valve has done this prior to Portal 2 announcement by dropping an update with secret audio files into original Portal. Leaving these kinds of clues is nothing new in game development world.

Follow the steps I posted. You will hear a voice. See if you can make out what it says. I posted my guess.

That's all well and good, but audio is clearly different then a still image, if you see only audio on YouTube, it has a start and stop time, it's dynamic, and still images are static.

FYI for anyone NOT familiar with Adobe PhotoShop, CS stands for Creative Suite, It's true someone could own more then one copy, and they are rather spendy or pirated as well, add to that, you can download DEMO versions to try from Adobe's site.

I really hope R* add some significant new gameplay features in the next game.

I want internal car view - POV option for protagonist , with a 'bobbing' head cam view (immersion) and a optimised game engine. I dont want blur othon like GTA4.

If gta 5 is set in LC, I expect a connection to Carcer City as it is 100 miles away from LC. Or the other way around. Or could It be connected to SA seeing as though the protag of Manhunt used to live in San Fierro.

Rocktop Informant
Do you think they will finally have the fans most asked for feature?

Taking a dump?!

No offense dude, but, Why would anyone wanna take a dump in a video game? That's beyond me. However, I did like in GTA 1 how you could press the select button and fart on the unsuspecting public---and get in a fight because of it! That's classic. But again, why would anyone wanna take time out of playing and having fun to have to walk into a bathroom somewhere and watch a guy drop a deuce? I just don't get that and don't want to. And then there are the ppl who don't want real graphics because it would take away from over-the-top-fun? I hope game developers don't read this stuff!

K^2, can you post the audio file pls? sneaky2.gif

It was posted by Phoenix. He followed the instruction and got basically the same result.

The GTAV.net logo which had the OP's image:

Alright, lets look at this data instead. Look at the XMP core tag on this one.

<x:xmpmeta xmlns:x="adobe:ns:meta/" x:xmptk="Adobe XMP Core 4.2.2-c063 53.352624, 2008/07/30-18:12:18        ">

This is the CS4 XMP core. Now look at OP's image.

<x:xmpmeta xmlns:x="adobe:ns:meta/" x:xmptk="Adobe XMP Core 5.0-c060 61.134777, 2010/02/12-17:32:00        ">

This is the CS5 core. Yes, the version of Photoshop is CS4, but the XMP core received an update after CS5 was released.

This proves that IF the two were made on the same machine, the OP's image was created AFTER the logo. And that just doesn't make any sense.

I'm not saying that it's completely impossible, but your argument that the author is the same is not looking very strong at the moment.

By the way, that logo was saved from a PNG image. You wouldn't happen to have original PNG version sitting around anywhere, would you? There might be additional info I could pull from that.

Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns.

They said that GTA was going to be announced "later this summer", well that means they only have 15 days to announce it so based on that something must happen sooner or later.

who's they?

and could the text saying 'map' mean that the location will be said in that direction?

Okay, now THIS is interesting. I downloaded Phoenix's file with your steps and opened it in Adobe Audition. I noticed that it's definitely something home-made as the frequency spectrum goes up to 22 Khz (44100 Hz divided by 2 audio channels), which means the file is lossless. That, or the audio was affected by opening it on Audacity and forcing it to reproduce at 44100 Hz, it's worth a try with various other frequencies, because this sounds like if I open any audio file and use Interpret Sample Rate on Adobe Audition to, for example, force the frequency to be 192000 Hz, it'll sound extremely fast and just garble. I'll try downsampling it and post results.
