Finn 7 five 11
Alright. Let's say he did light up around his kids. There's nothing wrong with this. Do people get medicated on ganja and beat their kids? Give them heroin? No. If a parent who smokes ganja neglects his/her children, it's not because the ganja caused him/her to be neglectful, but because the parent is neglectful anyway. People are making a big deal out of nothing. Seriously, go visit countries like Nepal or Jamaica where there are parents who smoke ganja infront of their kids all the time and the kids turn out perfectly fine. Oh and incase you didn't know, in Jamaica pregnant mothers smoke ganja to alleviate morning sickness. Some of these mothers include heavy ganja smokers. The children of mothers who smoke ganja heavily come out better than children whose mothers did not smoke ganja. Yet anti-ganja organisations want people to believe that some second hand smoke is going to destroy a child's life? Please. What's funny is that the whole 'OMG IF SOMEONE SMOKES GANJA AROUND A CHILD THEY WILL DIE' mentality seems to be rubbing off on some of the people who like ganja and support ganja legalisation as well. I really can't believe this nonsense. Edit: Oh and why hasn't taking the poison Big Pharma pumps out in front of kids been made illegal? Why the double standards? I use ganja as a medicine (as well as for spiritual and recreational purposes). This is discrimination at the core. Whilst i agree that there are double standards and that marijuana should be legalized since it is no worse than tobacco or alcohol, but i still refuse to believe marijuana is 100% harmless, nothing is 100% harmless. - Breathing in the smoke can cause damage to your respiratory system just like any other organic material that is burned -There are far more sources saying that Marijuana stunts fetal growth, not enhances. - It plays with the chemicals in your brain and can Increase the risk of psychosis such as Schizophrenia and depression, but it has also been shown to reduce symptoms of sufferers Warlord, you are under an illusion it is not 100% harmless.. Those kids ought to have some respect for their old man, they have probably been brainwashed into thinking the worst of weed at school, come on the guy had 25grams, thats not really that much, it's not like he was a total Pothead who did nothing but sit on the couch all day. Those kids don't realize that they have dug themselves a hole, the father may have trouble finding work = lower income = a bad life. anus
When you say 'respiratory system', I assume you mean the lungs? In that case: Ganja proven to not have a link to lung cancer Ganja cures lung cancer: http://www.illinoisnorml.org/content/view/529/27/ http://www.unboundmedicine.com/medline/ebm...astasis_in_vivo http://www.aacrmeetingabstracts.org/cgi/co...ourcetype=HWCIT As for fetal growth, please do some research on the pregnant Jamaican mothers who smoke ganja heavily. You don't know what you're talking about. Ah schizophrenia. Reefer Madness V2. Check this out It's not my job to change your views, but I'm certainly not the one under an illusion. Mike Tequeli
Most 12-13 year old kids are extremely anti-drug up until the point when they start doing drugs. It's the education, they f*cking bombard you with (mostly) nonsense about how dangerous drugs are, although all it ever did for me was raise awareness to all the drugs out there. It's amusing how badly these kids f*cked themselves over, unless he was abusive or something, in which case they are pretty clever.
Tchuck
We only know a day in the story. What was happening prior to that? Possibly the father has been a terrible father lately, and the kids were looking for a way to get rid of him and happened upon his marijuana as the excellent opportunity. Which, imo, is more likely than they being mindless drones trained by DARE to snitch on sight. It is, however, funny that people are quick to criticize and judge others for having done "the right thing" however silly and stupid they feel the law is. We do need more details on it before passing a honest judgement. That bit of news is as plain as plain can be. For instance, hypothetical case. Let's say I told you guys I was to commit my mother tomorrow, without giving any details. Would you criticize me? Would you damn me? Would you say that she's family, and you don't treat family that way? And then I told you the details, about how she's been in severe depression for the past 4 years, how she refuses any help we try to give her, how she refuses to stop taking medicine that's actually doing her harm, how she's bounced from doctor to doctor, with every one of them eventually refusing to treat her cause she won't help herself, then would you still damn me for doing the right thing? Your stance on pot and the laws is irrelevant in this case. We need to know more, so that we can pass a fair judgement. As I said, my money is on the father being a terrible father for a while, with the kids unable to take it anymore finally finding a way to put an end to it. But we'll never know. Sanjeem
It is, however, funny that people are quick to criticize and judge others for having done "the right thing" however silly and stupid they feel the law is.. Yeah but who's to say it was the right thing, I mean it depends on each individuals view. Thats what I hate about those "Right thing to do" sayings because just because your or someone's view of right suits you doesn't mean it suits others. Flesh-n-Bone
Stupid kids snitching on their dad. I laugh at all these people who talk about marijuana as if smoking it is the biggest crime and "foul". That sh*t is no more foul than drinking alcohol. Unless the kids have a valid reason to do this, they are stupid idiots for doing it.
