lil weasel
Does the box or disc of the DVD say it's for the PC or the PS2? (what does the manual list as supported Systems.) What did you find on GOOGLE for scph 90006 ps2 Edited July 6, 2011 by lil weasel

ramarar
the cd is for ps2 only and when i searched for ps2 game cds troubleshooting it said that either the lens is not clean or the laser is receiveing less voltage. The ps2 is in a good condition. It is 2 years old
lil weasel
Is "good" condition a Tech inspection result or your guess? Was the console serviced?
ramarar
I had bought the cd one week ago. The console was never serviced.
lil weasel
Other PS2 games you play without any problems? I am also beginning to wonder if your problem might be Regional Lockout? While your machine is Region Free, the game might not be. I remember some movies won't play if they don't get the Region number feedback, maybe this game has that too. They both were of dvd rom. The ps2 could not read them also

Naseem Srour
By mod chip , You mean that can it play fake cds? I mean it can play CDs, rather than DVDs. Because this is the only thing possible to be for a PS2 to read CDs, and not DVDs. @lil weasel, I'm asking him that so we can know if he has one, and if he does, then we can lock the topic. lil weasel
I'm pretty sure that the problem is the Regional lockout. Ask if he's able to try the game(s) in an older, normal, PS2.
ramarar
Yeah It can only play cds. So what should I do , buy a new cd or get my ps serviced? . What is regional lockout?
lil weasel
by what you've said you could buy a different model PS2 (one that has Regional Settings). Or Fix(?) your PC and buy a DVD Game for the PC. The PC game with a Generic USB GamePad (w/12 buttons) is as good if not better than the Console game play. One question that hasn't been asked yet, Does the Game you purchased match your PS2 video television system (PAL, NTSC or SECAM) Beyond that I can't think of anything else. ramarar
Yes it matches the television system. The tv is A bravia
