riquenunes
Guys, I'm making a school project where I have to create an IT company that will provide computers/software to another company (which is also fictional). So my question is: Which programs software developers need? By developers I mean the guy who writes software with those fancy programming languages and stuff. Sorry if it's not the right section. I just don't really know anybody who works in this area so I could ask.
Spider-Vice
Well depends on what he's programming. Could be Visual Studio for Visual Basic for example, but that's all I remember because that's all I can "code" More experienced people might be able to tell you more. riquenunes
Thanks for the quick answer. It would depend on the programmer preferences too, wouldn't it? Because I've seen another group's presentation that they had to create software to help other companies, and it seems that they used different methods, but with the same results. I don't know if what I'm talking about makes sense, so a little help on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

As spider_vice says it depends on the languages, for .net languages the developers would use Visual Studios, for Java, etc some like netbeans (or whatever), I'm not sure about the other programming languages though. riquenunes
So I can safely include Visual Studio and Visual Basic in my list? Are those the most commons? Is there any other I should think about? Edited July 6, 2011 by H3NR1QU3
