Darkconnor55
The rep system will be a system where you could go into someone profile and click either a "+" or "-" this system will show how much that person is respect you can only do it once (you can change between the 2 options whenever you want but you can't keep pressing "+" on someone as many times as you want only once). There would be no way to cheat the system (unless make a new account, but you'd have to make alot) Quick Preview: Edited July 5, 2011 by Darkconnor55
Moonshield
A few years back there was a reputation system implemented, but it wasn't received very well. I'm sure somebody else more involved at the time could elaborate more, but that's the cut and dry of it.
fireguy109
What would it really prove? Most regulars here know who the big players are; that's what the respect lists are for. Besides, somebody like, say, Waddy, who has many "haters" but is (I think) a good member, would get a lot of negatives. It wouldn't really prove much. Not sure if that makes sense or not. leik oh em jeez!
Besides, somebody like, say, Waddy, who has many "haters" but is (I think) a good member, would get a lot of negatives. It wouldn't really prove much. If he were a good member, he wouldn't have so many haters. Besides, I wouldn't trust him with the ability to manually edit a respect stat. Plus you've got PLENTY of people that have no problem taking five minutes to create a new account.

As for Waddy, well, I don't like taking sides in situations like this (it's always a touchy topic and I hate opening old wounds). But the fact remains that whether he is a good or bad admin, he has a several enemies and several commendations.

Don't hold me to that he just told me on a different forum. I don't think this system will be implemented, but if it was going to be I don't think the fact that some staff have "haters" should hold it back. Andrew
We've had a system like this in the past, however it was for topics and it was abused, people registered multiple accounts or advertised just to get the rating of their topic up. The same would happen with profiles. This isn't facebook.
