Random781
Whenever I'm IG, no matter what the server is my game tends to freeze and I can't access anything, task manager, or any such program like that to shut GTA off, so I have to press the power button to restart it. It happens randomly and I tried numerous solutions and I had this problem since Late 2010. It first started freezing at the airport only, now it's the whole game and my location doesn't matter. The CD isn't scratched, and I play with no mods or plugins or any 3rd party tools. Its not a crack. I play GTA on a desktop. I have multiple fans, and it doesn't overheat. I don't leave the computer running 24/7 so it isn't that either. And if I wait it out after it freezes, it takes about 15 minutes and it just ends up restarting the computer. I don't lag at all IG, my FPS is 30-35, 100+ in interiors. It doesn't happen when I'm in interiors. It happens in Singleplayer as well. I figured it was my motherboard heating, and I repaired that issue but a few weeks after it continued. What I've done so far: Completely removed the game, and played it un-modded.(A.K.A meaning I re-installed) Updated my drivers. Deleted my gta_sa.set Downloaded the lag remover. Used Game Booster. Tried reinstalling GTA to a new directory. Rebuilt the archive. Got another gta_sa.exe off a friend.\ Defragmented. Downloaded the SAstreamfix. Disabled Event logger. Ran as admin. Ran in compatibility mode. Changed the priority of the game to realtime. Girish
Are you sure your motherboard isn't heating again? If that was the problem before, then it'd be wise to re-check.
Spider-Vice
If the motherboard were heating, the computer would shut down, not lock up. Try updating drivers for absolutely everything, sound, graphics and most importantly, chipset. Reverting to Windows XP Service Pack 2 won't be a solution, SA is fully compatible with Service Pack 3. Whenever I'm IG, no matter what the server is Server? What do you mean? Whenever I'm IG, no matter what the server is Server? What do you mean? Did you mean "server" to be playing online on SA:MP OR MTA? In that case you specs aren't enough for running these. Hope this helps.
