Dudecar4
::Short video explanation:: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYcg4_upJNM I am thinking that I would have to edit a bit of the "effects.fxp", I removed almost every effect in SA by editing the TXD files and this effect still didin't disappear. I have no idea which line in the FXP file to edit, if anyone out their could help me i'd be much appreciated, Thanks! P.S. I get over 60+ fps and this is the only problem that's holding me back, my PC can totally handle the game properly. ~Dudecar4 ||UPDATE|| A few hours ago I removed the muzzleflash and bullet effect, but I am still experiencing lag when shooting, as "fireguy109" mentioned "Or perhaps even the game engine trying to decipher where the round hit and if any damage should occur to nearby objects" I am not 100% positive that it's the game engine and I need a little help on what I could edit or change. Th3MaN1
How the hell can the bullet effect lag your game? It's just a line,I don't get it.And why do you want to have more than 60 fps?The human eye can't see more.Try turning frame limiter off or try a lower resolution. Function-X-
The bullets is not an effect, You can't really remove them from effects.fxp cause they are not there. The only mod that is able to modify the bullets is Bullet by Ryosuke.

Have you ever noticed when you shoot a weapon your FPS drops a little? Mine sure does a bit, just turn Fraps on and shoot a weapon, you will see what I mean. That's exactly what I'm trying to figure out, a few minutes ago I removed the bullet and muzzleflash effect from the game, but it still is causing some lag. I agree that it may be the game engine itsself, any idea what I should change or perhaps edit? Edited July 5, 2011 by Dudecar4
Th3MaN1
Sorry, you're actually right. But the bullet mod from Ryosuke is causing even more lag(I didn't try it) I think.

Function-X-
I highly doubt that the bullets drop your fps like this, It must be something else.. Do you have the real ragdoll mod by Ryosuke ? It lags a bit when you shoot somebody. Edited July 14, 2011 by Function-X-
