chubzz Posted July 4, 2011 Share Posted July 4, 2011 Hello gtaforums community. I recently upgraded to windows 7 64bit from vists 32bit, so i could use all 8gb ram. But, gta ran perficly fine before, but now it is lagging terribly and even the loading screen is lagging Yes it is retail not illegaly downloaded Specs: Intel Core Xeon (4 cores, 8 when hyper threded) @ 3.7Ghz 8GB Corsair Dominator RAM 1.5GB Asus Direct CUII GTX 580 i can max out crysis 2 amazngly so this was strange. What i have tried: I have treid the commandline.txt and then changed the limit I have tried turning of Windows Event Log I have tried setting evrything to low Nothing worked. I have un overclocked the graphics card and that didnt help. It might have worn down to the point where your parts start to underperform. When troubleshooting, you need to use the process of elimination. Right now, we are trying to eliminate system instability as a cause, and we can only do that if you just try it out. Another thing to try is to turn off hyperthreading.
