sJay420
I Can't seem to find where the engine tag is for changing a cars engine to diesel power. It doesn't seem to be listed anywhere in handling.dat or any other file I look at, can someone please point me in the right direction and help me out? I'd appreciate it, thanks. EDIT: For example, at the top of handling.dat it says: "; > UNITS < ; --------- ; vehicle identifier 14 characters max ; dimensions in metres ; mass in Kg ; velocity in Km/h ; acceleration/deceleration in ms-2 ; multipliers x1.0 is default ; angles in degrees ; Levels :- (L)ow, (M)edium, (H)igh ; buoyancy = percent submerged (> 100% vehicle sinks) ; engine type :- (P)etrol, (D)iesel, (E)lectric ; engine drive :- (F)ront, ®ear, (4)-wheel drive" But this tag is no where to be found, in any file. How do I switch to diesel engine? This is irritating how annoying it is just to find this one tag, its been several hours, two forums, even sent an e-mail to computermasster. Sheesh. EDIT2: Have no idea but I fixed it by changing which car I used for the car mod. If anyone was wondering what I was trying to do was make the Audi R10 TDI car mod faster, because the maker of the mod chose the airtug, of all vehicles, to mod with. Well instead of trying to fix the handling of the lame airtug I just switched the modified car to the infernus, problem solved. Apex_Skins
It's in the vehicles.ide file. Take the Admiral for example, the forth "ADMIRAL" in this line is the one that tells the game which engine sound to use, so if you replace it with the same one the phantom, or the bus you'll get a deisel engine sound. Currently no one knows how to physically replace the engine sound with out having the vehicles name being replaced ingame. admiral, admiral, car, ADMIRAL, ADMIRAL, [email protected], [email protected]_LO4_LO4, 10, 999, 0.2175, 0.2175, 0.3, 4, 1.0 ,1, ext_strong
