Ate some sandwiches and hot dogs for dinner, with yogurt and bread. Also ate a bunch of ice cream and peaches before that.

 

Can't wait for tomorrow to eat more of that!

I love food. Lately I've been trying to perfect my Italian style meatballs in tomato sauce. All handmade of course!

 

Also made some pasta Amatriciana the other day but accidently went over board with the chilli.

Made this for breakfast as a post-workout meal:

Top sirloin w/ 2 eggs over easy on a bed of brown rice and fried banana. Mountain meal. f*cking satisfaction to the nth degree. Seasoned the steak with just sea salt, and cooked it medium rare. Perfect, except I made way too much rice.

Not much other than cooking it and resting it properly. The texture/sweet&savory combo with the banana was a f*cking mouthgasm-inducing bite.

That sh*t is insaaaaneely good.

 

But now seriously, not sure if it's my Italian background, but I like to get some bread, dip it in a mix of olive oil and balsanic vinagrette. Drink wine as well. That's a great breakfast right there.

I took this picture today to send to a co-worker who got called into a meeting as we were on our way to get cheesesteaks. Nothing worse than wanting lunch and having to miss it for a meeting, and then getting this sent to your work blackberry.

 

In case anyone is curious. This is what a real Philadelphia cheesesteak is.

Here it's beef, cheese, grilled onions, and green peppers. What's on the local ones?

I've heard some debate, but I'm pretty sure the original Philly uses Cheeze Whiz instead of something that would obviously be less disgusting as all f*ck, like provolone.

Wiz is reserved for tourists and 3am after the bar steaks. Normally it is american or provolone.

Forgot to answer above question. Fried onions, not grilled. You get wathever you want like peppers, mushrooms and whatever you can think of. I just go for fried onions, salt, pepper, and ketchup.

I've only been to Philly once despite having a good number of friends there, and never had the opportunity to get a cheesesteak. Fried onions instead of grilled sound interesting. Gimme dat and a 6 of Yuengling lager.

Anyone ever try Gherkin relish? It's nice. I had some with fish and chips. I'm pretty baked too, that could be helping, but it's damn nice. sigh.gif

I think we don't respect food enough has it should, people should take the time to actually enjoy what they eat/drink and maybe we can respect it more.

 

Also i'm about to have a pepperoni pizza.

Im a vegetarian so I eat alot of vegetables and veggie meats smile.gif

Right now I have a veggie lazanyeh(cant spell) in the oven, Later on I might make a quorn veggie burger aswell. Delicious

Grilled and fried are pretty much the same. Caramelized and sauteed are usually cooked with something. Some people get sauteed onions on their steaks, except you have to call them 'cooked' when ordering.

 

Every once in awhile I'll get a ton of sh*t on my steaks, but my semi daily isn't that exciting - I know. The best is ordering one with 'the works' because there is no standard and you have no idea what you are going to end up with.
