It has been a few weeks and somehow I have managed to leave the booklett containing my serial code at the beach where I was vacationing last week. Now I cannot play because I need to activate the game. Any advice. I'm not sure if im allowed to ask this, but could someone PM me their code or something? If not, what should I do???? Buy the game on Steam. This way you its impossible to lose your key unless your stupid enough to get hacked. unc13bud Posted July 3, 2011 Share Posted July 3, 2011 if gtaIV or EFLC IS REALLY INSTALLED on YOUR PC LEGALLY, use the registry key editors to find it. this worked for me once. I went from a 400gb hitachi to a 300gb velociraptor and was getting low space errors on the recovery partition. so deleted it and GTAIV/EFLC wanted to reactivate and wanted the product key before i could play again Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If he had uninstalled the game before without revoking the license, the key would still be in the registry. However, if the key was in the registry when he installed it this time he would NOT need to put in the key again. Since he still has to enter the key after install, one can deduce that he doesn't have the key in the registry Glad to be of help. But I don't think you need the cd key if you're going to reinstall without revoking the license. The cd key is needed only when you install the game for the first time. After that, you can reinstall it as many times as you want without the installation asking you for a cd key.
