Slingaa
Does anyone know how many invites you get? Or is it unlimited?
One-time
Ah, I finally managed to get in... Still, with it being a limited invite-only trial, none of my friends are there. Forever alone.
Tsuroki
Slingaa: The invites are sporadic. It depends on the user, depends on the time. Google is trying out a few things right now to avoid a mass invite-fest without cutting off invitations entirely. If anyone else is looking for an invite, send me a PM. I was one of the tech hipster douchebags that got an early invite to the service, and I invited about 100 or so users from Reddit. I don't mind extending the same offer to GTAF. Ideally, I'd like to build up a GTAForums/Grand Theft Auto circle.
LanceVanceDance07
Finally got into Google+, for now it looks way similar to facebook, but I'm excited about what Google does to hopefully change it for the better. Anyone wanting an invite can shoot me a PM whenever.
Pico
So far I'm liking it. It's slow, but that's to be expected. I'm trying not to be redundant and posting the same thing as I do on Facebook so as to not annoy my friends and have them just think "everyone is already posting this stuff on Facebook, I'll just keep using that." The Circles has come in handy, as it's allowing me to target certain posts to certain people who will care more about different things. For example, I made a circle called "tech nerds" and put the friends I think will enjoy tech type posts, so when I posted about installing a different ROM on my phone today I only included my Tech Nerd friends. Very cool. Instant upload (from my Android devices) is pretty awesome. It gives me the ability to sign in and say "oh yeah, I can share that picture" and just click a button and it's done instead of consciously selecting upload and going through all of that mess. Huddle is great on the Android app and will be awesome with the, likely, integration in the desktop website version of G+. Hang out is pretty cool as well. You can create video chats with multiple people, or just a specific person, or have it open to all of your circles. You can have a chat bar at the side if you want to avoid any audio if you're on a laptop in public places. I hope the hang out feature makes it to phones, and soon. There's a cool "Youtube" feature built into hang out which allows you and all the others in the hang out to click on that tab, and you all can basically show each other Youtube videos. It mutes all those watching it, including yourself and gives you a nice button to click and hold if you want to speak while the video is playing. Helps cut out on background noise and reverb, nice idea on Google's behalf. I haven't messed with Sparks much at all, just seems like a modified version of the standard search engine and I don't see the need for it as a sole part of G+. Other than that, can't think of much as at the moment.
ska
Someone brought this up earlier to me regarding Google+, and I thought it was interesting. Where do you guys see G+ in about six months to a year? Personally, G+ could completely kill the competition, or it could crash and burn. The rate of adoption though is what is really intriguing to me. Literally, people are begging for invites unlike anything I've seen in a while. Although, I think Google is really cashing off their existing userbase, such as Gmail users for instance. That, and I think the current exclusivity makes it something people really want to dig their fingers into and use. I'm loving it so far, and I hope more people will start to pick it up after a while. G+ seems to be doing great right now, but who knows where it will be a few months from now. I'm assuming most of the hype will die down, for sure. Padmasana
I just got an invite yesterday, so if anybody wants an invite, let me know! I don't have any friends on there, so I can't really evaluate it. Seems interesting though, and I really like how the circles let you post things to only certain ones, the family circle really sticks out to me. pterodactyl
I wonder how Google+'s success will compare to Google's previous projects like Google Wave?

Slamman
You guys hear that Anonymous were banned from Google+ So they formed their own Anon+ or something like that, it's something I just ran across in tech news, and then I see this topic about Google's
Pico
You might want to re-think that, Slammy. It's somewhat impossible to ban anyone who is anonymous. And the notion of something like Anon+, operating anyway like Google+, is nonsensical. How can people who are anonymous create a site where they have profiles and friends? You can't friend someone who is anonymous, as you wouldn't know who they are. Anything that could be considered like Google+ for "Anon" would be 4chan itself.
