I saw the video, but it's only the snow effect, i think they mean the snow covered things, like this:

It does look better but the actual gradient of the sky still looks a little plain in my opinion. Massive improvement though! smile.gif

I have 2 versions of this weather. In alternative version clouds are brighter and also brighter sky bottom.

Today ill show rainy and sunny-windy weather, i got good sets for sun, but there will be 3-4 screens for competition, and you will choose best.

About snow mod - textures looks bad on rage, if anybody know snow mod with good textures - write here.

I havent spent much time making buildings so I was learning while I was making this. Its taken me 2/3 weeks on and off.

@OnePiece, Superb, a dirty HD building is a welcome change from pearcys more cleaner HD buildings. icon14.gif

 

@Yurban, it looks good but it doesnt fit III's atmosphere, and thats why some people dislike it.

If all the other weathers are set to look like III's atmosphere then i like that but if all the weathers don't look like III then i dont like it, however if there is only 1 weather that doesnt fit the III atmosphere then i think thats alright imho.

I was looking at the first picture and thinking - I don't want to be an asshole, but I don't see any differences, onepiece.

 

And then my mind was blown from discovering the 2nd picture's existence and stuff inside it.

 

Good job, but why the windows and their frames are looking like they're extruded to outside? To reduce polycount/improve performance?

A suggestion to the team: When u work with such high poly models, make benefit of that by using the full rage resources, meaning the right shaders, apply normal and specular maps (and do not overdo it!) add colission materials, add 2dfx like fumes that come out of some of the air vents(some! not all), or whatever you call these things.

 

And last but not least, nightlighting, I think this is more a job for onepiece: It's a trick they use since III, and still use in IV: Basically u make a window, on top of the window, most likely a rotated plane. Edit the texture in PS, make it so it looks like the light is on in the room. Do this for a couple of windows (~15-20%). In RAGE you apply emissivenight shader (zshift: 0.1, light: 16), I believe this shader also exsist in III.

I thought about it all. Yes, we should use all Rage resources, its one of main reasons to convert.

Dont know. Dan don't want EFLC version, but now I'm work now using EFLC version (cause i haven't GTAIV), so i don't know.

CHANGES (24.03):

1.Added some more simular weather.

2.Added some shaders in Portland.

3.Add 1st mission with save (Personally thx to dk22 for source and save script).

3. Added "Help with health" feature (near hospital in Portland you can meet doctor, who can add you to hospital to 1-2 days for improve your health and fix your problems with police (sure not free, pay) ).

4. Added blips on radar.

All screens toomorow or later if we will be busy.

there are unused medic sounds('I'll get you fixed!',etc) in GTA III,maybe you could use them here wink.gif
