rocketalypse
Hello, folks. The thing which I will talk about is my opinion and the truth. We all are able to hear Lil Wayne, Jay Z, T-Pain and all that fake rappers which is SAD! Hip hop ain't what it used to be. In today's "hip hop" music we can only hear rhymes about sex, money and drugs. Man, what the heck happend? Why there aren't any rappers like 2Pac who was telling the truth? If there wasn't 2Pac I would be brainwashed by media! I learned something from 2Pac. But I can't learn a sh*t from today's "rap"! And just to let you folks know, 2Pac was killed because he was telling the truth like John Lennon. But I won't talk about John Lennon because he was not a rapper. The auto-tune stuff started with T-Pain. I mean what the heck? Modern "hiphop/rap" is just a sh*t! Let's talk about Lil' Wayne. He's rhyme jacker. Screw him! He is pretending to be a gangster just like 50 cent. But do you folks know what are Lil' Wanye and 50 cent? Wanksters! Yes, that's right! They're WANKSTERS! Do you know who is the only good rapper in today's "rap"? DMX! DMX is the best and the only true rapper in today's "rap" game. Let's talk about Jay-Z. He's just another satan worshiper in the Hollywood. He's just a wankster. Screw him. Oh, yeah. Let's talk about Soulja Boy. Hahaha! He thinks that he's a good rapper. But the problem is, not only Soulja Boy, most of today's rappers aren't rappers. HipHop music died in 90's. I know you guys cannot accept that fact, I hardly accept it too. But what can we do? REST IN PEACE Hip Hop Music

rocketalypse
Is Jay Z a satan worshipper because he's in the Illuminati? The Illuminati are satan worshipers. Jay Z is an Illuminati puppet. So, the answer is Yes, he is.

rocketalypse
The Illuminati doesn't exist. Your opinion. The truth is that Illuminati exist. That's the longest youtube comment I've ever read. Shut up bitch. That isn't a youtube comment, idiot. It's my opinion (and the truth). Akavari
Based on most of what you said, I'm guessing you don't know as much rap and hip hop as you think you do. There's a whole thriving underground of real hip hop artists keeping it alive, you just don't hear them all on the radio and being advertised and promoted everywhere. It takes a little legwork to weed out the posers and sellouts and find the real hip hop artists, but they're still there. And bitching about how hip hop sucks now is pointless, asking to go back to the 90s with hip hop is like asking to go back to the 60 and 70s with rock music. Drift-Kingz
No, really, change the font color. Please. Now about the topic at hand - I agree with you. These days there's just no talent. I mean, anyone with autotune can sound good. Plus, most of the 'rappers' and artists we see today in the Rap and Hip Hop scene have no feeling in their music. Take a look at Lil Wayne for example. That guy can't even f*cking rap. Not to mention, his songs don't even have good meanings. Rapping about money, sex, women, etc? What do you expect your status to arise at? A well respected rapper? Nope, just another sellout. Not to mention, most of today's artists are sellouts anyways. All in all, rap and hip hop music (mainstream), is yeah, pretty much 'dead'. Although, there are actually some pretty good rappers out there today like Royce, DMX, Busta Rhymes, Tech N9Ne, Tyler the Creator, etc. Just don't focus on some of that mainstream sh*t like Wayne or Minaj. They don't deserve the credit they are receiving.

mrpain
Uh, what about Nas? His latest collaboration with Damien Marley is pure gold. This sh*t's good. Hey I just heard that not too long ago! It's really good alright and I'm not even a Hip Hop guy. I think is safer to say that the entire music industry is dead. No wait let me re-phrase that, the entire music industry is running out of ideas. There's no originality in Rap, Rock and Pop anymore. But like the guy above me said, go underground. Or somewhere between mainstream and underground (I have no idea what's that called). The only genres I see surviving are the less popular ones like Indie and Jazz. Robinski
I think is safer to say that the entire music industry is dead. No wait let me re-phrase that, the entire music industry is running out of ideas. This is something that has been said since the advent of national/global music. It's been said for decades, it will be said for decades. Music is entirely about taking something you've heard before, playing about with it in your brain(s) and turning it into something different that you can call your own. There isn't a set number of ideas that we'll eventually reach and just have to turn out the lights and call music "finished", music has been, is and always will be generating new ideas out of old ones, whether that is in lyrical content, melodies, basslines, imagery, persona or whatever else. It is, therefore, pretty hard to run out of ideas, especially when you're an industry that is constantly saturated with new talent,or progressive established talent, in every genre at pretty much all times. Tyler
You don't need a 'good message' to have a fun song. Even with that in mind, hip hop is doing fine. Take a gander in this topic. There's going to be songs you won't like and songs you will. That's not the definition of a dead genre. I'd be inclined to say it's more alive than ever nowadays. http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=269482

Machiavelli's Prophecy
He just mentioned DMX cause DMX is delusional as f*ck and has started saying sh*t like: ''Nah man I don't want to sign up with Rick Ross cause those niggas are Illuminati''. Dude has kinda lost it(not surprising considering his drug use history) but the funny thing is that this is giving him alot of new fans. Some people are just so stupid. Hiphop is FAR from dead. Infact, it's better than it has ever been. I could easily destroy your whole opinion but not even gonna bother cause you're obviously a retarded kid.
