I can't get the DOF to work with ICE 2.0 I tried enabling/disabling every one of the #define but nothing looks close to DOF. Help?

I made sure not to use those two and set it in the config to True but then in the game it looked all blury and wrong plus my fps was 12 which isnt normal since I can use other mods with ENB AA.

Well, this is my experience. Maybe things have changed in the past year. I really do doubt that though. I spent six months trying to get somewhere near the graphics levels that are in this thread at 1040 level. I went through GTAGaming forums, YouTube and at two other forums trying to get clear answers for why there were constant crashes, glitches and of course, not that great performance all to no help.

 

-I have run just about every ENB under the sun. 

-No skylighting support is the just the start. 1070 looks "flat" in my opinion. Maybe Goobz is doing something new and cool, but AFAIK it's still the same.

-Better performance at the expense of image quality, isn't really a trade off IMHO.

-Anistropic Filter can't hold a candle to SMAA/FXAA or downsampling that we use in 1040. Of course, you can use this in 1070 as well.

-Cruising along enjoying the somewhat realistic view in 1070 and you look up to see a massive red or white square or the whole sky as red. Thrill kill IMHO.

-I've run everything that DP3 or DKTronics70 have put out since I started in Q4 2009. All great, but not on 1070.

-I only say bad things when bad things need to be said. To save headaches, to enjoy more. To get what people really want IMHO, great looking and running IV with mods and no crashes.

 

All just "my" experience of course. I mean, I'm not implying anybody should do exactly as I say, hey, it's your computer and your GTA IV man.  But I had nothing but headaches and constantly wondered why my GTA IV couldn't look "like in that screenshot..." which is why I do what I do.

When I posted my VC Rage screens you said they looked great, they were taken with EFLC, aka Patch 7

 

 

 

MOAR SCREENS GTASADUDE! That looks much better than the other screens I seen. Is it possible to run any ENB / ICENHANCER on Vice City Rage? If so, maybe down the road I'd like to tinker-up a realistic / neon version of iCEnHancer.

Hi all,

It seems that Vanni's Tree mod 1.2 link is down, the website for it will not load, could someone reupload it, thanks .

Also, Is the DKT70's road textures on the first page the original one, if i remember correctly, the one that DKT70 uploaded after he

uploaded the test version was 40-50mb instead of 27mb? could anyone confirm this, sorry if i remembered incorrectly .

Also Ive just tried Ice's enb 2.0 and it is AWESOME! although the trees bundled with it are not good, but other then that it is on of

the best enb's i've tested yet.

When the game starts up the resolution is doubled so it seems to have worked but ingame the framerate is terrible (like 12fps) compared to other ENB's ive tried with AA enabled which runs heaps better and I get about 30-35fps with my gtx590.

 

Is there anything else required?

The drop in FPS wont necessarily correlate between different ENB sets when you double up the resolution. However, you could check if the 'AntiAliasingUpscale' amount is set to the same as your usual settings. It's located in the iceconfig file.

Make sure you installed the files about the pc\data\effects folder from the mod.

Help me pls! I installed the iCEnhancer 2.0 on a clean GTA version 1.0.4.0 and works fine!

But the night sky is always red, and there are no stars! I installed Optional.Red Sky Fix - does not work (who would doubt), but it is for 1.0.7.0, but I have version 1.0.4.0!

 

My spec: Win 7 64x | GTX460 SO 1024Mb | Phenom ll x4 2800 Mhz | 8 GB RAM
