I already did compromise on a quality and i won't do another one with fraps and youtube restrictions . I just thinking maybe it will be better just stop posting inferior quality screenshots at all i don't like the result at jpg format . Painter inside me just died and i'm a gouache and graphic painter in real life.

Thank you! And I am curious, have you tried capturing in PNG then using the Automate function in Adobe CS2 to convert to jpg? I think there might be less quality loss / more quality loss control?

I don't know man, first of all i haven't Adobe CS2 installed and if i have one , i think it will be another loose in quality , it's pointless.

Anyway thank you for trying to help .

Fooking jpg , it definitely worser , stupid internet bandwidth sad.gif

Lets start with Lady Liberty's back than.

that will be dependent on the size of the JPG itself, a jpg larger than 250KB (for a 1080p screenshot) will have almost no difference with png

It actually isn't pointless. smile.gifblush.gif

Here's two screens capture in IV from FRAPS, Photoshop CS2.0 saved in quality 12 jpg compression = 1.34MB's JPG vs. 2.97MB's PNG = No loss in quality (or almost indistinguishable loss).

It's very easy to capture in PNG from FRAPS and in Photoshop go to File>Scripts>Image Processor>Browse for Directory>Click Run. You just set the quality once and it will stay that way.

All screens in the folder will be converted creating a "JPG" copy in a folder in that directory. All done. smile.gif You can always upload your PNG's in a rar and I'll add 'em to the first post if you really want the PNG's out there too smile.gif

PNG is heavy because of carrying alpha channels ... Nothing else.

JPG can be good too with high quality. Nothing can beat the BMP though tounge.gif

Nice DOF here Packet.

Do you understand what the hell the post was demonstrating? No you don't. That's at 1920x1080 with NO AA, NOT EVEN A SHARPEN EFFECT. sigh.gif THERE IS NO ANTIALIASING CONVERTING FROM PNG TO JPG so jaggies won't make a difference as long as the images are accurate to one another.

And in your case, JUST LIKE CARMODS, despite you two having these supposed "SUPER AWESOME $5,000 1337 COMPUTARRRS" my screens STILL SMOKE yours. You can barely even get ENB working.

Calm down Packet.

It's a friend of Carmods or Carmods itself.

EDIT : It's Carmods, Video links to his profile..

Which just popped out of nowhere just after the ban.

He spitted on my settings but I see him asking some help on Youtube but whatever. lol

I already tried it and it works not such a loose like native jpg had , but there is less blur in converted image it's more sterile and sharp and more aliasing in comparison, or maybe it's ImageShack.us fault

Thank you for good advise.

@stphy: Holy smokes the 2nd picture is amazing ! what sets are you using ?

Lol, everytime people see screenshot with that house they start asking for settings and textures also. This is just the texture, almost all settings look the same in this place.

fondlemyballs

I like the new settings but is it only me that got a noticeable fps drop with 1.25 compared to 1.2?

I'm running at 28fps with 1.25 wheres I run 1.2 at 35fps. Also one thing that I really liked about 1.2 where the dark nights, now it's not as dark anymore which looks less appealing imo.

The two night shots are taken at the same time of day.
