Instead posting every screenshot you made, sort them out, and post only best pics .

I spend more time choosing which one to post than taking shots ingame.

Nah, I think Gionight was referring to my repeated, directed comments about keep picture posting to six screens. The moderators are interested in the direction of the thread and this thread has been relatively peaceful for 316 Pages and I attribute that to moderator assistance and a few simple guidelines / rules and helping. Which for the most part, everyone has held themselves to.

 

 

Also, very serious request:

 

Anyone running 1030/1040/1004 and does not have the FileCheckFix.asi file can you download and put this file in your IV directory: http://www.gtagaming.com/downloads/gta-iv/script-mods/2432 (FileCheckFix.asi) and tell me if you have performance gains?

 

AFAIKnew you only needed at the most: filelist.pak, scripthook.net, scripthookdotnet.asi and xlive.dll to run properly. I found if I don't have FileCheckFix.asi I have nothing but problems...

I have installed your version of your signature. It gives me ~11 to 15 FPS usually.

Now I have installed filecheckfix, and it got me a 15-20 FPS. Same Car, same weather, same savegame. FPS increased.

johnnywcw : Why are you screenshots always the same? I mean it's like they are all the same weathers at the same times with just different vehicles. No offense but try to do more various screens , i don't know , like landscapes etc

Dpeasant : Weirdly, your actual version that you're showing is less good than the old one. I mean the sky was way better and the general overall too. But it's just my tastes. I know you're just making fun with different enbeffect.fx as usual my friend hehe.

To the rest : Keep it up guys. Some settings can be good but they are too car focused. Tweak the ENB like you want it to look and not like people want it to look

I agree Ice. I'm part of that last group, cars look nice i.m.o. but my environment could be so much better. The problem is, when I edit my enbseries.ini too much, the environment will look better, but the cars won't look so good (keeping realistic reflections when editing is a nightmare). Hard to find a balance there...thumbs up to those who succeed! Also I'm just learning editing the timecyc.dat. I'm a still a rookie

BTW Baasha is a new member( I know him from overclock.net ) he spent 2 weeks to install my ENB and till today he can't play without some sort of problems his specs 3 GTX580 3Gb, i7990 4.4 and so on

While I am not disregarding the possibility of that, I don't think that's the case. I didn't perceive a drop in image quality. FileCheckFix.asi incinuates file-check-bypass one would think?

Only on startup? Or, if GTA IV continiously checks the files, you are right. I'll give it a shot, a boost from 8FPS to 13FPS is a big difference. (It really is, the difference between extremely laggy (13) or unplayable slideshow (8).

@3lajitz Probably, I had a bunch of MP3 files in my music folder too and I noticed a drop in game performance, when I took them out the game ran a lot smoother.

It's because of the space occuped on the hard drive. Solve this by putting a link of a music folder on another hard disk partition in your User Music folder in Documents and make a scan from the game, the files will be analized anyway, as written in the game's manual.

It apparently removes the memory checks for files used in multi while still blocking a few files not to be used in multi (cheating), but maybe it's the process of loading memory protection -> disabled that is causing the perceived boost.
