should i remove the options.txt in the main game folder or should i keep it there?

Look at my last post of screens. At 1920x1080 without FXAA they look like sloppy seconds from a $2 hooker.

1440x900 w/iNJECT FXAA

 

1920x1080 w/o iNJECT FXAA / FXAA3 QUALITY - PC via effect.txt

 

I don't pretend to know why it's better - but it's far and away better than even a FXAA v3.0 .txt file AA solution. injectFXAA - it's faster too.

can someone explain why my game looks wierd with h1vltg3's settings

1.fresh install+1.0.4.0 patch+crack

2.car pack(vehicles.img+vehicles.ide handling.dat)

3.installed h1vltg3 settings to my folder

entered the game and it looks bright in the apartment

when i get out side the road loads to slow again

cant spawn any cars

it looks a lot different than his 1.25 settings

plz help

Even my Quad 6600 overclocked to 3.0Ghz w/3GB's of DDR2, 450GTS 1GB, WD Raptor 150GB can't run at even AA=1 with respectable frame rates. Playability = injectFXAA. The second screen above is at about 11 FPS You can't play at that.

Don't forget to launch the game with LaunchGTAIV.exe and not GTAIV.exe

FXAA 3.11 just corrects diagonals.

I tried both. I tried them all. I did every combination possible.

Best for me is still effect.fx + FXAAV3 and some tweaks. It looks good to me.

But then it's only on my low-res PC.
