DemonBlitzKragor
Destroying buildings is good only for 1-2 missions.
lucid121
I think we'll get this eventually; but not on GTAV. This really requires a cloud-computing approach. The GFX/map processing would be done server-side with gamers simply sending controller instructions and receiving the video output via their consoles. In this way it would be possible to "reset" the city at the beginning of each session and to track environmental damage for the whole city on a real-time basis. That's too much for most engines to cope with (although Battlefield gives a good impression of that happening, some of which is fake), but we'll definitely see it in the future. How come red faction could do it?

nigelhere9901
Nope, can't see it happening. In addition, I have the game's trailers to back up my statement.
Patriot_Action
How come red faction could do it? You bumped a 2-year-old post to ask this? The only Red Faction game I'm familiar with (Guerrilla) focuses on building destruction as the core component of the gameplay. Otherwise, the game is relatively simple (both graphics and features). You can't have something as large scale and complex as GTA V and keep the same level of building/environment destruction with current technology. ill-thoughts
i would personally love a game where you can destroy Any building in the city and reboot the game and have it stay that way.
