A poem I wrote

[Xboxless]

My poems suck. My writing sucks.

 

I can't do any of it the way I planned.

 

I need to learn to not give a f*ck,

 

how my words look to the common man.

 

I worry so much if my spellings correct.

 

I sit there and think, "what should I write".

 

I need to stop making such a fret,

 

and being so uptight.

 

 

BTW, should we have a concentrated poem topic....I feel like I am spamming or just creating a useless topic....well, I probably am.

 

In fact, maybe we should. I would gladly start one, maybe even add a little game to it where I put the better poems in the OP so that (A. A little competition and (B. Actually allows people to read other people's poems. I know that a lot of people will just post theirs and never read others.

Good to hear you used Write Or Die, I haven't used it much myself - it isn't that I'm dry of ideas, so I prefer to take my time. You might want to do the same, because rushing isn't a method that works for you really. You say your writing's bad, but you could just take your time over a piece and working to get that looking and reading good rather than throwing yourself in at the deep-end and writing in a bit of a panic, which is what I end up doing when I do use WOD.

 

If you enjoyed writing, fair play, but try taking your time and working on something a bit more substantial.
