Great story. I read the first sentence. Maybe if you cant keep your eye on an expensive phone you shouldnt keep getting them only to get them lost again..

 

Speaking of which, I've been working on a project for 8 days out in the middle of the grand canyon and I lost my watch that I got from my mum for my birthday last year. Long story short, for the past 7 days I thought it was long gone in the Grand Canyon which I was pretty pissed about because of the sentimental value. Anyway, I found it in my f*cking hoodie before I was leaving for Flag.

Well, not really. He's writing this huge four paragraph post about misplacing a cellphone as if we're supposed to genuinely care and have a civilized discussion with him about it. To me, I honestly couldn't care less that he lost his phone. If he actually protected it, I'm sure he would still have it and we could have avoided this clusterf*ck of a thread. The bottom line is, if you're going to go out and spend a considerable amount of money on a valuable item such as that, don't lose it. Not exactly a hard thing to do unless you're some drunk who is constantly misplacing things.

As they say, that sucks, but it could be worse. Just keep searching, I lost mine in a parking lot once and then a day later a kid from my class walks up to me and says "dude here's your phone." You never know.

Thank you. If you boners really don't care about the kid's problem, wouldn't it be easier to just ignore this topic like a white guy in a suit ignoring a hobo panhandling for change on the street? Sure, maybe he needs some perspective, and it's a definite first world problem, but it's still his beef he wants to share. There's nothing wrong with that - this is gen chat. It's bullsh*t for you guys to gang up on him for "posting something nobody cares about". Obviously people do, either positively or negatively - you cared enough to comment, right?
