majorhawke
Do I need a receipt to swap a used ps2 game at gamestop? Or in otherwords, can I swap a used game for a different used game at the same price without a receipt? Thanks..
Sam998
Interesting forum to put this on but whatever...I don't think you need one. Also I'm sure Gamestop has tech support
M. H. Hunter III
Gamestop isn't like that, you just can't swap a random game for another previously owned different title. Thats like bringing in COD 4 and expecting to get Black Ops without paying a dime......only in lesser value Best could be is in store credit or cash (probably don't want cash) and then use set credit to buy most or all of another used title. darthYENIK
No. If you don't have a receipt you can not get any sort of refund or exchange for your used game. They'll buy it back for a couple bucks, but it wont be near the price you paid for it.

CryptReaperDorian
GameStop is quite awesome for buying old and used PS2 games. I can buy GTA III or GTA VC dirt cheap for PS2 ($6.00 at most). However, I would never sell one of my games to them. The smaller game stores will give you at least twice as much as GameStop for a game you no longer want. Sunrise Driver
So "piracy" and warez talk is prohibited but second hand gaming isn't? In both cases gaming companies get nothing.

Piracy and the "W" word are illegal, second hand gaming is not. It's actually widely accepted by anyone who is not a game maker.

Well not the country which this forum is based. Those are the rules, no point arguing them.
