Im started this project before 1 year,and everything is going excellent...but with time,more errors come...and i fix all of this...but now i cant fix alone and i want help from you.

I have problems: When I near some area in game- the game crash...before i dont have this problems...Help me! Reply Plsss - By: Dexter

Give us some ******* information, dexter. What have you done to your game scripts? What models have you changed? Are you using an old save game?

 

More info is needed if you want any help.

Im not speak english so good..:-( but im understand you a lil bit. Can i give you a link to my total conversation? And you search for problems? This mod is totaly new city,no gta sa objects...I upload it tomorrow...thx in advance :-)

 

Sry for spam...If you accept my request:To download my mod,install it and search for problems.I will give you a credit in readme bcs im a leader of this project and only one person who made this city.:-) i will give you a credit in readme of mod if we solve the problem here,ok?

Just tell me what you did. What kind of scripts were you running, and what was the change that made it crash (i.e. if it worked before it stopped working after you did what)?

For my game i use this:map cleaner(streched main.scm,scripts.img),changed water.dat,streched gta3.img,and my custom 300 objects for my game.im use simplest main.scm(scripted only to spawn player) bcs i dont know how to make missions,and i use empty car paths(nodesX.dat all 64).

And i have my own 5 ipls,one of them called global is 380 kb size maybe that bug other and crash game? :-) maybe i must cut that global to 6 ipls per 50kb?

The first rule of a big mod is to add stuff one piece at a time.

 

Make another copy of your game files (stock) and install in this order-

 

1. main.scm

2. no-paths thing

3. map clearing

4. New gta.img (make sure you have the dff and txd for the player in there)

5. New ide files

6. New ipl files

I'm what you say and my game fully dont work,cant start in mapcleaned gta,but in old gta i can start my game.old gta mean my modified gta.What you think about large .ipl 380kb,can that be a problem?

If your game crashes every time you get close to 1 specific place, a model in that area can be corrupt.

No coruppted models,i deleted 30 objects around that place and that place same crash game.and when i add more objects into my game not in that place,that crash point is bigger and bigger...:-(

I install sa limit adjuster and he say this to clean gta sa with my mod.i dont changed any sounds and i dont understand why is this error.after all i replace that ambience with original again and limiter say same on that bugged place in my game. Limites say this in error dump:

I have player.dff and txd in that.

I'm what you say and my game fully dont work,cant start in mapcleaned gta,but in old gta i can start my game.old gta mean my modified gta.What you think about large .ipl 380kb,can that be a problem?

How did you clear out the paths?

I deleted manualy from data/paths and replace all 64 in gta3.img with empty paths generated by aschratt path editor(or empty paths pack atached with map cleaner v0.5 rc1)i dont remember im do that long time ago.why is path important for this? :-D

Try using a default path system with your cleaned map. Did you try what I posted a bit earlier?

Reinstall (or duplicate a backup of) SA and use your modded main.scm on it. Next, try your new paths. Next, try clearing the map.

 

Tell us when you start to crash.

Im do that,all is good,no crash point there,but now is moved to other area i mean crash point moved. :-D:-(

Open it with Sanny Builder and paste the entire contents of the main.scm here. I think I know what the problem is.

That script seems fine to me. So answer my question.

 

If not, delete your maps in your map folder (delete everything .col .ide or .ipl)- manually cleaning the map (or use MEd and delete everything).

Game crashed because you haven't correctly made *.COL file. Check all *.COL files!!!

Error in them!!! Try to clean superfluous polygons with modifier "Optimize"!!! 100 % in it an error!!

p.s

Probably you have *.COL files in which there are collisions with identical names!!

Or you haven't corresponding *.COL file!!

After a long time im decided to go back in making my Total conversion mod,so FIREGUY can you answer?

Now i understand more things about SA modding,i know there is maybe collisions problem,because my collision have more than 5000 faces,etc....
