blitz
I f*cking love the heat, it's not very often here that it gets like this so when it does I enjoy every damn second of it. I hate the heat, lol But I really like the snow and the rain, a lot of you that live in rainy areas probably think differently, but in my country, rain evaporates before reaching the ground. I'm enjoying it in England, I hear we'll be getting some rain tomorrow, yes? If anything we'll be getting lots of rain tonight, it's looking rather overcast outside and the last time I left the office it was feeling rather muggy and had the air of a storm brewing about it. Yes, it's been rather grey this morning, seems like tomorrow it is going to rain, as so Yahoo Weather says.

Cursed
Houses here in the UK aren't exactly designed for warm weather. No aircon, carpets, insulation etc. really don't help. Combined with the fact that we British have to complain about something results in a lot of moaning.

allhailkingryan
Managed to get to sleep at around 6 o'clock ish. Glad I've got a day off school today . Woke up at around 3PM, and it was drizzling outside. The temperature is now 21*C in my room (69-70*F). I went to sleep with a big bag of party ice next to me. My sheets are damp now though
GTA 360
Eat icecubes. In a situation like that though, I'd probably be more worried about my computer. My computer's still cool, strangely enough. My dad had it for years, and he never switched it off, even if it was like 40*C in his attic. (We used to live in Australia) I see, so when you say attic you mean ground floor. Think you'll find that our houses are designed for cold winters and milder weather, not 31 degree heat. It doesn't help that the government has been pushing efficiently savings by providing grants for insulation.

I think you were meant to read it like "[No aircon], [carpets], [insulation]" as separate items, because yeah, most UK homes are designed to keep heat in, meaning once it gets hot it ain't gonna get cold too quick. Flag suggests you are but highest temp we've seen here today is 32 centigrade. Odd fact of the day, it's currently 4 degrees warmer in London than it is in Athens. Max
Sweltering. The dog and I have been taking shelter in the garden all afternoon under a tree. I've been keeping myself cool with Twisters and Fabs from the freezer, I've been throwing ice cubes at the dog, can't lose anymore clothes without the neighbours complaining....it was all going well until the Twisters ran out and Tescos only has Mini-milks left, I've now run out of Fabs too. The Dogs already given up and has taken a nap. I can feel myself heating up...I don't know how much longer I can last...Send...help!

_Rob_
Fair enough, unfortunately for me Tesco is a 10 minute walk away and I haven't got the energy to walk down there, may have to survive on tea for now.
Punk-in-Drublic
I live in the North West of England and it's just a regular, slightly humid day. Absolutely nothing to moan about like pretty much everyone on Facebook. It was quite sunny when I woke up at 11am but that's about it, it's just been overcast all day. Buck Fitches
This past January during the Seattle winter my heating was out for about a week and a half. 28*F or about -2*C (not sure on my conversion) was the coldest it got. I ended up just staying with family until the heating company could come fix the issue.

Josh
To be truly British one has to: • Moan when it's dry • Moan when it's wet • Moan when it's hot • Moan when it's cold That's about it really. Weather down here is lovely. Was a bit foggy until about 7:00 but now it has cleared up and I'm not at all uncomfortable right now. Rest of my family is in London right now though and they say it's sweltering so I do feel your pain to some degree.
Buck Fitches
Is it usually hot in Britain during summers? In Seattle we have freezing winters and then when the weather is above freezing it rains. Today it is about 21*C/70-ish. Back in my original home of Indianapolis, Indiana we would have extremely cold winters and then hot summer. There today it is 28*C/84F and storming..
