Problems with Disc 1

So I've been forced to re-install GTA IV after I encountered some issues with a mod I had. I had a clean uninstall but afterwards when I put in the disc I started getting problems.

 

A short amount of time into the installation, I get the following error;

 

Feature: Grand Theft Auto 4

Component: GTAIV_Dynamic

File: D:\GTAIV\data2.cab

Error: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)

 

I'm not sure if this is the issue with my disc or something on the PC. If any more info is required to solve this, please ask.

GTAIV disks are of very poor quality. You should check if the disk surface is clean and then try copying borth disk contents to HDD and install from there. If you can, you should try using some other DVD device, you can also try copying the files over a network.
