ayushisrocking
Hey there guys, What're the ideal CPU temperatures of an i7 Mobile processor, when exposed to heavy load? If i play Crysis 2 for long durations, say 4-5hours, CPU temperatures may, at times end up reaching 90degrees celsius[i.e when the air-conditioner of my room isn't on]. I just wanted to ask if high temperatures would be bad for the long run of my notebook or not. thank you
Prometheus
It should be at most 90C, but still, it is bad on the long run, but not seriously bad, if it runs at 70C, its good enough.
SyphonPayne
Well max Tjunction for that processor is 100C so if you're using Core Temp/HWMonitor or another program that actually measures the core temps your CPU will start throttling at 100. Do you have the laptop on your lap? Might want to try putting it on a hard, flat surface.

freak2121
You guys are talking Fahrenheit right? Nope. 90degrees celsius 90C 100C @TC: Around 50 and under for idle and 70-90 load is fine. Edited June 27, 2011 by freak2121

Yes, the TjMax is 100C for my processor, and once again, yes- i use Core Temp for measuring the core temperatures, with Overheat protection On, and set at 90C. I use my laptop on my lap, yep. @freak2121: Indeed. That's the condition of d temperatures, i.e 40-50 when idle, and 70-80[and at times, 90, for example: when i play Crysis 2, a core's temperature does reach 90C once in a while] when it's used for long durations and is subjected to heavy load. Apparently, Just Cause 2 doesn't cause this 'heavy load' and d temperatures don't go above 75C when i play JC2! I'm gonna get a Coolermaster notebook cooling pad anytime soon.. If so, should i go for this one: http://www.flipkart.com/computers/cooling-...cccy5qz2pygsjph or this one ? : http://www.flipkart.com/computers/cooling-...cccwpafuahrwd36 Going by the price, the former one should be better, but anyway, i'd appreciate if you recommended the better one, as i don't have much idea about notebook cooling pads. thank you . Man i feel stupid right now, thanks for answering the question with no insult at least . Oh well it happens to the best of us.
