What bugs you in GTA IV multiplayer?

Pet peeves, NOOB addition:

 

1. Not being able to get off a shot when I got the drop on you.  Okay so you and your precious 9 rank killed my pathetic 2 rank about 10 times in a row now.  But A-HA! I see you kneeling shooting at another player.  I will just kneel and take aim, ha I notice you only have a life bar or so left to my full health and body armor! Yes you may have killed that guy but you'll never kill.......I'm dead.  WTF just happened?

 

2. Vehicle gymnasts. When I get clipped by someone trying to run me down, I usually stumble to the ground or fly through the air and land on the ground.  In any event my guy lies there as if he lost his freakin' contact lens.  Plenty of time for you to get out, break down and clean your weapon, put it together and drop 40 rounds of ammo in me.  When I'm the one driving it's usually opposite.  When I clip a guy he may fly through the air but before I can even hit the brakes to make a turn he's magically back on his feet putting hot lead through my back windshield. F'kin fantastic, while my guy stumbles and falls to the ground like a walking 5th of tequila, I'm getting Powned by Keri Strug with an AK.

 

3. Hate mail for leaving.  I don't leave games often without a good reason. But one circumstance I usually leave to find another game is when a game starts with 6-7 people at the least, and quickly dwindles down to just me and one other player.  I am no fan of one on one anything, so I usually leave as well.  On several occasions now I've gotten hate mail from experienced players, "F*g loser! Yea go on LOSER!"  Okay, I'll go on.  You go being grand super duper all time champion of GTA multiplayer, I'm going to have sex with a girl.

5. 5 second delay or more settings after getting killed.  Why, you ask?  Because it gives enough time for whoever keeps owning my ass to come over and rub it in with a L1 comment.  I've already proved I suck, thanks for coming over and telling me as well.

 

6. My BIGGEST pet peeve is lobby snobs.  So your an 8-10 rank who came into a quick match team deathmatch or team mafiya, etc.  Well I'm sick of being killed over and over so I will just join up with someone good for some refreshing fun on your team.  And you jump, to another team.  Didn't like the color, oh I will just move with you, you move again.  Okay I get the point.  You don't want your precious greatness tarnished with anything less than another 8 rank or above player.  Way to be a team player, champ.

You make some fair points however nothing will convince me to let a random noob join my team when I have known rivals in the lobby. Id rather play myself and lose than take on a noob who brings nothing to the team effort then take half of the money after ive just had to play my heart out to get through it.Too many times ive thought f*ck it let the guy play then within 2 mins there some colossal goat f*ck in the middle of Bohan over briefcase and the noob is half way to Algonquin.They should have never let players switch teams in the lobby anyway it just causes delay and agro. As a genuine 10* player and a hell of a nice guy it always breaks my heart to leave noobs to fend for themselfs. Thats how in feel until one is in my team offering nothing but disapointment.

 

You mentioned team mafiya work. Well listen here.2 players can cover more area when they play as two players and dont follow each other around. This is the biggest noob error of all. A 10* player does not need your help to drop of a package so dont follow all the way in. All it does is leave the whole other side of the Island open for the other team. A rather noobish but well organized duo almost over turned myself and an another 10* player last night because we never spread out correctly. Get your spread sorted out and you will casue problems in TMW.

You make some good points, but this last one is something I think needs clearing up.

 

I've always sided with new players, given them a chance to be on my team and plenty of times they have been quite good, but the majority of times useless, still I give every player a chance though.

 

But switching in a lobby isn't good, try to accept that some players don't want to side with you, they're not being snobby but prefer to play as a lone player, following them is just annoying and stupid, delaying the game for yourself and others in the lobby, other times there maybe a team of players, and you want to join that team? That's just dumb, play against the best to become the best.

But if you're in a public free mode and 4 kids are approaching your safehouse and you have a handy rocket launcher, blow those f*ckers right across the sky, they deserve it.

one of the annoying things in gta 4 free roam is when you get into a session that has a player or players who are way too young or make idiotic comments on chat (i had both tonight one comment was after i was asked where im at, and i said alabama and i got called a racist, which im not)

Sadly, I can think of a lot more things I hate about GTA IV online than the things I like.

 

Hates:

- Heli-abusers. I didn't join the game to get annihilated a few steps after I spawn.

- Assholes in team-based games. It's not even cute.

- Angry players. The ones who seek revenge for the entire game, even if they've killed their target numerous times already.

- Glitchers who glitch inside of the airport hanger and RPG anyone who runs/drives by. The only time I ever glitch is to kill the special ed kid hiding in the hanger.

- KSA players. They have a tendency to spam-kick anyone who kills them.

- People who thinks it's okay to go on mass killing sprees because they're in Freeroam. *Points to DM & TDM*

- People who use the word noob and don't actually know what it means AKA 99% of this topic. The game has been out for four and a half years now, hardly anybody is a noob anymore. Settle down.

 

Like:

- Players who have fun and aren't blood thirsty animals who want to kill you at every opportunity they get.

- The rare select who aren't assholes.

- Every building that you can enter in Singleplayer is available to enter in Multiplayer.

- Anything else that wasn't mentioned in the hate list.

I used to think the separation would be good because then we would have players who actually want to play disallow. The problem is its been out 3 years and some of the names in this post are top top players on disallow.Newcomers just dont have a chance against seasoned disallow players so thats a turn off straight away.They dont dedicate the time to get good at aiming.Then youve got your aa player who are too set in their ways with pathetic little clans to turn away from the dark side so to speak.

1. In CnC when you jump out the cop car and the guy who is driving immediately stops and starts sounding his horn for you to get in. WHY? I have only JUST jumped out, so why would i want to get back in? Then, thinking that you haven’t heard his horn, he starts trying to drive in front of where you are trying to get your attention, inadvertently knocking you down. ... All the time the f*cking crooks are getting away.

7. Driving up to a better car, getting out of the crap car, walking up to the better car's door, pushing Triangle button, then the character walks back to the crap car, grrr. And everything else to do with getting in/out cars, it takes too long.

 

8. GTA IV Free Mode is crap in comparison to BOGT ... and reloading the alternate version take way too long to bother changing.

I ranked up to lvl 10 ONLY by playing DM (legitimately too) so shut up French arrogant infernus noob.

 

I always play in the open field without cover so I expose myself for the infernus glitch crap. I dont hide. Its not my type of game.
