trip
First off - I know that all of you are juvenile delinquents, or want to come across as juvenile delinquents, but here is your chance to show your inner weirdness and not be scoffed at.  You know those little things that happen throughout a day that make you smile and think that "maybe life isn't that bad"?  -When I see a young couple that is obviously enjoying their new found love with a simple handhold, or kiss. I smile. -When I see a super old, wrinkled, couple who obviously still very much love each other. I smile. -When I see a stranger pick up someone else's litter and properly dispose of it. I smile. -When I see a stranger helping out an old lady with anything. I smile. -When I see someone playing with their dog, and you can tell that both the owner and dog are having a great time. I smile.  -Street musicians makes me smile.  -In this really weird stretch of area near my house that looks like total armageddon, because it is just a bunch of weird buildings where construction people buy stuff like marble and other weird building materials, there is a smoke stack that has a great old fading painting of a mysterious Asian lady for no reason. Every time I see it, I can't help but smile and think of how great it is.   So????What helps you get through the days? We all know there is enough sh*t out there to bring us down and piss us off, so if we don't see some nice things we would all go insane.       *Disclaimer. I'm not a big fan of starting topics. I'm just trapped in my office with nothing to do right now.     My crappy games at MyCrappyGames.com Free copy of Save The Puppies and Kittens

blitz
When people are generous enough to give some change to some homeless people, I smile. Typhus
Seeing Southend Pier on a nice day. The blue sky, the calm rippling waters shining in the light, the sound of seagulls singing in the distance. And just realising:This is my home. You only get one home, you could travel all around the world, but you do only get one home and I am very proud of it. Â I also love seeing a Magpie or a Crow, they're beautiful creatures and I always like looking out my window and seeing them hop about in their peculiar kind of dance. I'd like to say that I feel the same way when I see a fox in our back garden, but most of the poor things have mange and looks close to death, it's not a good life for them. Â It's also nice to hear the fireworks down the seafront on a Saturday night, I like to know that my fellow townspeople are enjoying themselves, I don't share their sense of fun and togetherness, but I am happy that they're happy. Dingleman
Sometimes I wake up at 5 am on weekends just to watch the sun rise. Something about the way shadows cast in the morning just give me this really optimistic and calm vibe.
darthYENIK
I got an annual pass to Disneyland, and love to go just to people watch. I go get a churro or a turkey leg, and just watch people. Try and figure out where they're from, and what's their story.

Jake
Sitting in my backyard, which is full of trees and plants and flowers. And watching the wind lightly blow the branches and leaves while the wind chimes sing. And there's a river in my front yard, so the sound of that is combined. It's a nice way to unwind at the end of a long work or personal problem day. And once that's done I can do the other thing that always makes me smile once I'm done and sometimes during, a nice exercise session. And I keep my goals in mind of what I want, always good to keep positive and makes me smile. Some songs that I haven't heard in a while or just find that are inspiring, make me smile. I could think of more, but I think that is good for now. Â Peace and Love.
Adler
Just simple acts of courtesy such as a "Thanks" or maybe some attempt at kind communication. Also, the knowing that some people aren't always cynical cheers me up.

riquenunes
again remembering good times makes me happy Oh yeah mate. When my friends come by my house we usually spend a big time just remembering old times. Sure I'm not even old or anything, but things are nowhere as fun as they used to be. God... I remember when I used to spend a lot of time playing King of Fighters against my friends, those were other times.
The Killa
Lets be honest, there is something we all enjoy when it happens to you: Farting. I can't stand other peoples farts, but my own is enjoyable and always deserves a curious sniff at the very least.  -Licking excess brownie mix in the bowl. I enjoy that more than the finished brownies themselves I'd reckon  -Holding a loved one in your arms  -I just farted. Going to sleep happy.
Korpi
Well, remembering the old times and catching up with a friend makes me happy. Most of all, spending time with my friend makes me happy. And helping other people makes me happy and sometimes hearing the rewarding words: "thank you". And other people being friendly towards me makes me happy too, to know that there are descent and good people out there. Just someone putting on a friendly smile or such is something that makes me happy. People who are friendly and compassioned towards other people and animals is something when i hear/see or read about it, that makes me happy. ChossenOne
The beach and docks at night. At night there's not another soul around, so calm and peaceful. I like sit and stare out at sea - watching the waves come in and enjoying the lights that sparkle on the big black canvas that is the ocean at night. Â Bad singing in public from someone that is not intoxicated. That puts a smile on face. Â Cats and lasers pointers. Â Anytime a David slays a Goliath.
