radioman
First, make sure ALL drivers are up to date for your Video card, DX, Sound card, etc.. Next, LOWER your settings in-game to Medium or Low-It is NOT necessary to run the game on those high settings, when the game WILL RUN better at a lower setting than at the higher ones...besides, there is really very little to NO difference in terms of gameplay between Low and High setttings(besides more wear and tear on your PC by playing on High settings all the time)...So, to help make your PC last longer AND to get better gameplay, LOWER your in-game settings...(unless you are rich and can afford to buy a new PC all the time- ) Why People try to run the game at such High settings when the game looks great at Low/Medium settings is beyond me? Girish
The lag is due to the game not being properly optimized for Crossfire. Take a look around this forum and you'll find many topics about the same issue with CF. I'm afraid I'm not aware of any solution other than turning off CF for GTA IV. Stinky12
Why People try to run the game at such High settings when the game looks great at Low/Medium settings is beyond me? A sense of self satisfaction for the amount they spend meets their expectations? e.g. You spend over $2k on your build to play GTA IV at extreme settings and it does! Now you feel great and damn proud with your purchase.
GamerJerome
ah ok i saw some people haveing better luck with their crossfire, unfortunately i cant find any other options to make it less lagg. Yeah after playing some few mins it runs a bit better but still laggy sometimes, without crossfire it runs better. =-| But just was curios or there was a way to make it run smoother for crossfire becuse im mostly like how better the graphics how better the game looks and plays why lower it when u can play it on highest atleast the game said so (not to be a show off or something)
