fgcarva1
Yes, I agree. Variety is the keyword here. I think V actually has to be able to satisfy everyone, I think they are capable of doing this as well.
Raptomex
Hmm. I enjoy some over the top stuff. But I don't want "made up" weapons. I enjoyed the explosive sniper and some other stuff but for the most part it was realistic from what I can tell. I miss weapons like the chainsaw and flamethrower, kitana, etc. As for the military, I really wish they would make a return.
Mr White0161
I think it should go back to what Vice City was like. You know things like screw drivers, hammers, machetes, chainsaws. Along with weapons you'd see your average gang member wielding. I personally don't care much for the military grade weaponry, I like the simple things. It should be things you'd get from your run of the mill under ground arms dealer. Not what some guys got off of a military transport in Russia. Racecarlock
I think they should put them in as long as they're reasonably difficult to get. If you want military grade stuff, you're either going to have to pay out the ass for them or you're going to have to break into a military armory and steal them, stealthy or otherwise. Or use a weapons cheat. But I do agree that getting them for 50 dollars each in a low key arms dealing backroom is a bit much to accept. They're going to have to be really expensive and really hard to steal from the military base or gun shop. I don't get the "Too many weapons make it too much like COD" argument though. I mean, no one is suggesting that we cut back on the fancy sports cars or it will be too much like forza or Test Drive Unlimited. No one is suggesting we cut down on the humor or it will be too much like South Park. So why should we cut back on weapons? Just make some a little harder to get financially or physically and I think we'll be fine.
hu6
there should be military weapons apart from the standart ones, which could be found in a military base or personnel working there
Proud Fool
Like people have said already. I like over the top weapons, but only in over the top games. I agree with Kwandilibro's post the most here.
fgcarva1
Well, but what I mean by over the top I guess would be like Luis, a bodyguard for a club owner getting a Military helicopter. Sure if the character were inthe military, sure. Although since he was just a simple bodyguard, the use of a military helicopter is unnecessary. And it screws up online play as well. But sports cars are a realistic thing to have in a GTA game, you see them all the time driving around in wealthy and affluent areas of cities. If every other car was a comet or a turismo then it would be pretty stupid, but GTA doesn't do that so of course you wouldn't compare it to forza or Gran Turismo. And if you had really stupid missions like a bunch of turkeys running around the place and taking over the city then people would complain. GTA has always had a degree of seriousness about it, you can't compare it to southpark. But when they start adding weapons that we see in COD like the P90 or the AA-12s, it feels like R* are just trying to pander to fans of FPS. The addition of these guns felt unnecessary and it didn't really add a whole lot. A wider variety of more standard weapons you'd see real life criminals using would be better. I too would like to see those weapons, but I'd also like to see the military ones as long as they are either really expensive or locked up in an armory guarded by US army soldiers. I say we should have them as long as they're reasonably difficult to get. This way it won't feel thrown in and will feel at least a bit more realistic. Remember how in vice city you couldn't get a military chopper without stealing one from a base filled with army soldiers all armed with machine guns? Remember that if you were going for a no cheat run but still wanted to do a tank rampage you had to steal the Rhino from that same base? I want that kind of difficulty in getting the military weapons, or you could buy them, but they cost 500,000 per magazine or something. Expensive and difficult to acquire. Kind of like how real military weapons are. Think about it.
