Fatman_UK Posted June 25, 2011 Share Posted June 25, 2011 I'm halfway through the Vigilante mission when this message "Cheat activated" appears on the screen. What the heck? I didn't enter any cheat code. All I've been pressing is W, S, A, D and space. Is this a known bug? Will it stop me getting 100%? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Girish Posted June 25, 2011 Share Posted June 25, 2011 Chances are that you pressed the exact keys for a particular cheat and it got activated. Nwo, the problem is that you don't know exactly which cheat has been activated. The smart thing to do in such cases is to quit the game without saving and re-load. Miro Posted June 25, 2011 Share Posted June 25, 2011 You might have pressed random keys which could have been the keys of a password. Sure, the chances something like this to happen are less, but you don't really know for sure. The thing is that you don't know what cheat you entered. As, some of them, might damage your save file. Arsen Vitiuk Posted June 25, 2011 Share Posted June 25, 2011 Apart from the player accidentally activating a cheat code by typing corresponding letters, the game is known to produce a bug of activating cheats itself. Happened to me: I was just standing on Cranberry station waiting for a train to approach (to do Freight mission) doing nothing, when suddenly a message stating "Cheat Activated" appeared.
