The Rocker
Hi, I'm trying to put the railways from the LC mod into the Vice City engine, and making a railway that goes right around Mainland Vice City. Now... I created a second IMG file when I saw that the game kept crashing everytime it was put into gta3.img. The lines in my gta_vc.dat are as follows: ## Load IDEs first, then the models and after that the IPLs## everything is loaded on a per directory basis and in alphabetical order # to improve the speed of loading# Img archive filesDIR MODELS\GTA3.DIRIMG MODELS\GTA3.IMGDIR MODELS\GTAVC2.DIRIMG MODELS\GTAVC2.IMG## Object types#IDE DATA\MAPS\generic.IDEetc. Now, this is the same kind of code used by GTA:SOL(VC), and when I open up MEd, it loads it and everything, but yet when the object is in the map it always crashes. Now... When the files nrailsteps.dff and trainstair.txd were in the gta3.img it always crashed, but now it only crashes when the files are loaded into the map. So I think I'm closer, but don't know where to go from here. Anybody know where to go from here?

X-Seti
Current SOL does use this in the gtasol.dat, unreleased. However in the default.dat - you can add the line at the end. CDIMAGE MODELS\Yourimg.img Make sure yourimg.img is in models with the yourimg.dir file. You can put models in this file, no radar or vehicles, ipf. IMG type one only. Does this mean that I can move all my modded map objects to this new .img file I created, and that it will work?
Swoorup
I think yeah because i did some researching with the exe and there seems to be strings like HIERFILE or CDIMAGE in the original Vice city ver 1.0 itself. As for the vehicles and radar they are loaded in the first place before map models, so just give it a shot
MAD BOSS
Hehe, it works! I tried it, and it runs perfect. Only MEd shows the missing files in its Validation Tool, but, if it works in the game, it's fine by me

Yeah A lot of things has already been discovered in VC modding!!! Changes in wiki should have info on LOD, CDIMAGE, pathslimit( hacked by Maxorator) http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?act=ST&...entry1060664020
