I would go with the second one, but it doesn't matter to me because I could spell good anyways and I know the difference between there and their. You may make a 'change' anywhere along the length, but it will return to the same time strream as quickly as possible. So if you did kill a major figure someone else will simple take that persons place. Every time era is the same, when viewed far enough in the future it will seem like the ideal period. If you remember hearing about the guy Nostradamus and his predictions? Well if you also remember History Class, everthing happens again. Make a prediction vague enough and someone/people will believe it is current. I'd like to go back and see where/when/what caused the Dragon (and the like) stories. But killing him would stop his mustache from being condemned as well? If you were to kill Hitler, then Mussolini or Stalin would probably start WW2 instead. Mussolini kind of sucked imo he had a bad army and couldn't beat sh!t. That said, he kind of scared Hitler in 1934 or whatever when he moved 100 000 troops to Germany's border and prevented him from becoming too powerful (until they were allies). He could have prevented WW2, so I'd go back in time and convince him to invade Germany while they were weak, preventing WW2. but that would probably open up a whole new can of beans with Britain and France, so maybe not.
