Russians or Serbs dosen't matter to him. He hates everyone and everything everythere and wanted only one thing. Kill Darko Brevich Damn why did they hired some funny piece of crap actor? What ? They don't now how to normaly hired an actor, prototype for Niko, Mashkov who refused to be a character in some frozen game he even didn't know about. Even vodka in the game displayed as Cherenkov refense to Mashkov. He would be a badass!!!!! So do you want Mashkov instead of Hollick if Niko character returns? He wasn't perfect, but he did his job well, especially for american actor. Mashkov wouldn't be bad, but since we got Hollick once, it's better to keep it that way. And to discuss with you: Niko might be a hypocrite, but he didn't backstab anyone. He did everything neccessary to keep him and his cousin afloat (this is call survival) and to find guy he was looking for. He didn't kill any Serb (except Darko, but it was player's decision). And why he should not kill russians. Almost whole east, southeastern Europe doesn't like or doesn't care about russians. Why Niko should be different? I don't know what they taught in your schools but USSR controlled half of Europe for some time (44 years), so don't be suprised that some people aren't grateful for stopping development in some countries and bringing 'Big Brother' there. This generation of people may have nothing against russians, but previous generations aren't exactly happy when they think about your people. Niko was born in Yugoslavia which was communist, but hopefully independent from USSR. He doesn't care about russians, so killing them was only a job for him. Niko isn't evil guy. His only problem is being raised during wars that were tearing this region apart, so it's nothing strange that he is bitter and cynical. On behalf of the Soviet Union, I apologize before Europe for destroying Third Reich and overthrowing of European Nazi puppet regimes. Should've just let you all rot under Hitler I guess (Though German is comparably hard to learn, quite complicated grammar, I should say, but you wouldn't have much of a choice now, huh?). But fear not. Germans will take their revenge on the rest of Europe sooner or later and we will not interfere this time. You should really take a look at the Grundgesetz if you think I am wrong. However, stopping development..? Funny. It's been 20 years, yet the "liberated" "independant" ex-members of the Union are still in poor condition and it's only getting worse. Not to mention what had become of Serbia. This is my last post on this subject, as it is obviously off-topic. Once or twice is fine, but for one mission alone it was like every other sentence, you know? Haha. I liked it more when he and that U.L. Paper guy mentioned how it was "just like the old country". Mashkov is Niko himself. What we had in the game its a joke. I fought I would aprushiate Main character is NOT realistick. Completely unbeliviable if were would be the same era/city then fine, but this is new era. Era with realistic view on things. GTA III fans don't like IV that much because rockstar messtup main character and make him look like a comedian instead. Playboy X - No one really liked him so what's the big deal? He was acting all big about himself and thought he controlled Niko, plus he wanted to have Niko kill his old mentor, Dwayne who Niko felt he had a connection with when he said "You remind me of me". Dwayne - Niko only backstabs Dwayne if the player is greedy and chooses to kill him, hardly anyone makes that choice. Derrick - He's a druggie, so what? Francis - He's a dirty cop who had Niko under his finger from when they first met. Bernie - Niko thought Bernie betrayed him first and besides you don't kill him. Ray - Pegorino didn't give Niko a chance in killing him and besides after said mission Niko feels regret for doing what he had done, a betrayer doesn't feel regret.
