1st gtaROCKER
Hey. I recently came across a thread discussing Pixel Art(search it on Wikipedia), and wondered what the hell Pixel Art was. So, I read more into it, and became very interested in doing Pixel Art. I looked at some software, but the ones I came across weren't free. I really don't want to pay anything for it. So, does anyone know any good Pixel Art software that is free?
SHXC
The software is free . MSPaint, in my opinion, is the best tool for it. Some more advanced artists use Adobe Photoshop, but you don't really need it at all. Look for some tutorials via Google, open Paint and see how you get on. Don't expect to be amazing at it at first. Everyone starts off sh*t.
1st gtaROCKER
Thanks GTA1. I wouldn't really have thought of paint, but I just came across a tutorial, showing how good it is. BTW in a thread called 'Pixel Block Topic' or something, narcis is creating a city using pixel art, and members are adding little blocks for him to add. He adds them using PhotoShop, will my paint creations work with PS?
SHXC
What exactly do you mean, "how will they work with PS"? They wont reduce in quality or anything. Narcis is using PS to add each block as it's easier to add to the city than in Paint. If that didn't answer yer question, ellaborate?
Narcis_speed6
narcis is creating a city using pixel art, and members are adding little blocks for him to add. I am not creating any city, is a community project (everyone is involved) doesn't matter what tool do you use, I am more familiar with photoshop, that's all.
