Aftermarket seats

Funkier chairs are well overdue in The Visionist Colt. Naturally I want Cobra Misanos in fully tailored black & green leather with carbon backing, however they cost approximately 2 months overtime each and appropriate seat rails are not specified (oh i'm sorry I just didn't fancy a Golf =p).

They are very affordable and "universal fit". But are they even 1/10 of the quality the Cobras surely are? Anybody with experience of this company care to shed some light? Impact safety? Universality of the "universal" fit? lol

I know nothing of the company but I would hazard a guess that they aren't that great. I have no idea whether there are any restrictions and limitations regarding minimum strengths of seats for cars- there probably are somewhere- but I personally wouldn't want to run the risk of having something that might fail in a collision.

 

For what its worth, anything labelled "universal" is unlikely to fit anything. Bitter experience has taught me that non-specific parts are usually several dozen times as much trouble as the instructions make them out to be.
