_Rob_
Ok, so I have this really annoying issue, when using gogole chrome just recently, search engines don't work, I just get the regular 404 error, thats on google, yahoo, bing etc all of them, I can access websites fine, but the search engines just don't work. The other thing is on IE they do work, but IE is clunky and unusubale nowadays, I have chekced proxy settings, cleared cache and histroy etc with no luck. Anyone got an idea? Hmmn, it seems I have the scour.com redirect virus, if anyone knows how to get rid of this shir please let me know Edited June 23, 2011 by bammargera
james227uk
Tried running an Anti Virus scan and a program like Malwarebytes? They should kill it off. If they don't detect anything, go to: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\ and open up the HOSTS file with Notepad. Tell us what is in it EDIT: Googled this Scour redirect thing, and apparently some people are having success removing it using a program called ComboFix. _Rob_
Thanks, Malwarebytes didn't find it, however a program called "TDSSKiller" by Kaspersky seems to have done the job, phew
