WhistleBlower Posted June 22, 2011 Share Posted June 22, 2011 (edited) I spent roughly two hours accumulating nearly 6 grand in several deathmatches amidst the godawful load times, people leaving at the last minute, and the occasional time-outs. I was 200 dollars away from leveling up to the second rank until after my most recent match the game f*cking tells me I have to accumulate the money all over again. I guess I was wrong to think it updated your statistics after every match. I don't even care about getting any online multiplayer trophies. I just wanted to see if there were some decent clothes my player model could wear apart from the black jacket over a white hoodie skin. I think I'll just stick to role-playing in single-player. AlexGTAGamer Posted June 22, 2011 Share Posted June 22, 2011 I hate it when multiplayer f*cks up, for example a few months ago I too was trying to level up and I needed about $1,000 to do so, that is the exact amount of money I had and with just a couple more minutes left in Turf Wars it says "Connection has been lost to two or more players, returning to single player mode". WF the Hobgoblin Posted June 22, 2011 Share Posted June 22, 2011 As much as I love IV, I always found it's multiplayer to be a pretty frustrating affair all in all. I used to play it quite a bit but unfortunately I found that the multiplayer sounded much better in theory than it was in reality. On topic: Yeah it's frustrating because the server sometimes fails in acknowledging your previous stats when you reconnect or even when you pass a level, but unfortunately that's how it works for now... let your hopes and dreams turn into burning fire! They nailed it with Red Dead Redemption, as it always saves your money and stats and EVERYTHING you do, so even if a game disconnects or some host throws a hissy fit and quits, you still get your dues. And of course how they can have things like XP Increases, a better meaning for ranking, etc. What I'm getting at is, WHEN that next GTA game arrives, Multiplayer is going to be SOO much better than the crap we got in IV.
