keneticpest
Please help me! I'm in San Fierro and all of the sudden, huge chunks of Doherty (or however you spell it) are just missing from the game. It's not just speed buffer, I can actually fall off in a never ending loop. Cars seem unaffected, except when I shoot or when they're reacting too something I did like shoot the ground to scare them. This is extremely awkward and annoying. Not only that, but I can only play the San Fierro missions if I have flying cars on, as the large majority take place in or around Doherty. Please help, thanks in advance.
Spider-Vice
Do you use any mods? An obvious attempt would be to reinstall the game. lil weasel
Did you play the game before installing the mods? Remove all mods. (You are using SanVice beta?) Are you playing from the Original DVD or is your game also a Download? Are you using your own saves or are they downloads too? There may be more questions after you answer these. Spider-Vice
Remove all mods. (You are using SanVice beta?) SanVice? I don't think it has anything to do, looks like a map/car mods problem, remove them all and reinstall the game. JF-Mir, remodding is never a solution, make a copy of the game separatedly for that. keneticpest
I do have San Vice beta 3 installed, but on a different installation. As for mods I have installed, I have 2 weapons and 1 car mod, nothing else. Did you play the game before installing the mods? Remove all mods. (You are using SanVice beta?) Are you playing from the Original DVD or is your game also a Download? Are you using your own saves or are they downloads too? There may be more questions after you answer these. 1. Yes, San Fierro still had chunks missing but I thought it was speed buffer until now. 2.(Look at the top of the comment) 3.DVD 4. Combination, the save I was playing on when I found it was my own save however. Edited June 22, 2011 by keneticpest

Spider-Vice
That's a corrupted map file, your choice is to reinstall San Andreas or get San Andreas Recoverer which I can't link because it's considered "modding". keneticpest
I actually found another solution! Apparently, another GTA site (GTA Downloads.com) has published a backup of the data folder with rockstar's consent. I installed it, and now San Fierro is complete with no holes in the ground. lil weasel
Please, edit the picture post: When POSTING PICTURES try to select 640x480 or smaller for message boards and forums. so as to not stretch the forum and waste bandwidth. Or use a link. A note on the open ground. Once after I was playing the SA Chain Game I loaded my own game save. And fell through the earth during part of it. The fix for that turned out to be closing the game and restarting it using only my own game save. Apparently the CG has a flaw that affects some other areas; closing the game and restarting it 'cures' that Glitch.
keneticpest
Ok I'll delete the picture immediately now that it has been resolved. But, this kept happening on all saves no matter how many times I restarted the game.
lil weasel
Don't need to delete the picture, you can link to it. The Save(s) might have been contaminated and each save just replicated the problem? How about a restart of the game play with 'clean' save? Maybe this might help? ALL SAVE GAMES TOPIC
keneticpest
I've tried that as well, but this has been fixed with an online backup of the data folder. Please close this thread, it has been resolved.
