KarmannGhia
I just spotted that my SA savegames goes to wrong place. First I thought it doesn't save at all as it should save here: C:\Users\<username>\Documents But instead it saves to C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\data folder. What is the problem on it?
Girish
Are you on Vista? This was the case with me too on Vista. Try running the game in Win 98 compatibility mode and see if it changes the location then. Otherwise, it's not much if a problem anyways. This will not affect your game in any way. KarmannGhia
I'm running on win7 but as 7 is actually an improved version of vista, it should work. Thanks for help )) Edit: Tested & didn't work Edited June 22, 2011 by Topo1st
lil weasel
Do you mean the Game won't/can't find your current saved games? Or are you just wanting the save games to be going to what you believe should be the file folder? To my knowledge there are three proper/possible save game locations dependent on the OS: 1. C:\Users\your username\Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files 2. C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files 3. C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\data\
Spider-Vice
Yep he said it's being saved in the data folder. Happened to me when I did an in-place upgrade of Windows Vista to Windows 7, must be some registry setting but I couldn't find a lot, reinstalling the game might work, never tried. let your hopes and dreams turn into burning fire!
