Rafuezo
Hi. After playing GTA IV for some time (like 5 mins) there is a sound bug. For example if I drive a car and then brake I can still hear braking sound all the time. Also if I use a horn in a car i can hear this sound, if I go out of a car I can still hear the radio. Those sounds are overlaping on eachother. Also when this bug happens I can't hear me shooting or something. When this bug happens also when there is a dialog with two people (but not a cutscene) for example talking on the phone, the subtitles are skipping (I can see them for less than half a second) and I don't hear the conversation. I updated my sound card drivers and it doesn't help. Also tried moving hardware acceleration of my sound to the second notch. I have also tried -minspecaudio and -notimefix commands. Nothing has helped. Can you help me, please? mkey82
This is one of those apparently random errors. Are you using any mods? Try starting a new game and see if the issue persists.
Rafuezo
No mods added. New game didn't helped aswell.

mkey82
This remains an unsolved problem, from my experience nothing but a fresh OS install fixes it.
Rafuezo
But it's 100% sure that fresh OS install will fix it?
mkey82
Nothing is certain, but this is very probable. I had this problem only once and it was on a fresh OS install. After yet another fresh installation a few weeks later the issue went away.
