My old laptop finally died, so I bought an HP Pavilion dv6-7029wm.  It's refurbished, but so far no problems.

I have a DV6 as well, mine is a little older but still fairly good, I have the i7 2630qm with a 6770m dedicated GPU.

Had no real issues with it, It's quiet and even on the hottest days it hasn't over-heated, it's gotten damn hot, but never so far it had to shut down. Battery life WAS brilliant when I bought it November last year, Now it is still about 1.5-2 hours.

I think I will list what I like/don't just for your benefit, i'll make it short and sweet.

- The screen is a little bit average but works fine.

- Dropped it many times, crashed at the skate park and landed on it when it was in my back pack, last night i stepped on the screen when it was on the ground and it has fallen out of my bed multiple times. Still absolutely perfect.

- Don't like all the stupid bloatware that they put on there that does nothing, IE; Separate power settings rather than using windows power settings and that HP support centre with finger swipe settings blah blah blah.

- Handles everything well (within reason.) Programs load fast, hardly ever freezes, handles video compression and rendering pretty well.

- It's quiet all the time.

- Keyboard layout is awesome, you'll struggle to hit the wrong key, I have thick big hands and it works fine, I have learned how to completely touch-type all keys without looking on this keyboard, other keyboard I found myself often making errors, also the convenient buttons available Play/pause, rewind, brightness, volume, wifi which have solid lights behind them so you can see what's on, what's not and the keys are sealed off so you don't get gunk under your keys, that was another very smart design choice.

- Metal design Is great, smart of HP, Asus is pretty cheap like that, sh*tty plastic body, I hate that, feels really tacky

- Mouse-pad is awesome, works really well.

-Beats Audio is just a gimmick that adds more bass I have found, but the actually speakers with the beats turned off are nice and loud and well angled.

So yeah a great computer aside from a few smaller things

So far I agree with you on all those things. I uninstalled a bunch of the bloatware, including the fingerprint reader software because I have no use for that, it kept crashing anyway.

The laptop is awesome so far.

It's a Stuhrling Traveler Viola skeleton watch. I just love the look of internal watch components, especially when they're in motion. You do have to wind it a little bit every three days or so, but for me, it's worth it.

Damn, I want one of those. It looks awesome!! icon14.gif

Oh and I bought a can of Coke and a Dairy Milk bar.

I bought these two releases on Bandcamp (twice): http://darkman007.bandcamp.com/album/chiptunes-2011

http://darkman007.bandcamp.com/album/chiptunes-2012

I bought them twice because the first time I didn't download them in time and the link expired. I emailed the staff at the site and they sent a reply with a new download link after I bought the albums a second time. I gave the new download link to a YouTube friend as a gift. It was a bit of a slap in the face to buy them twice but the artist deserved all that money and more.

1:18 Autoart Aston Martin V12 Vantage in silver.

Just ordered it for Christmas. I love this company too, I already have a black S63 and a W126 by them. I also have two Kyosho diecast cars, but they're not as good in my honest opinion so I'll just stick to Autoart. colgate.gif

I tried to get it in red but, "It's not sold in red"

So I got silver. I wanted it in silver from the start but red won it from me. But now I have to go with my first intentions. It's nice though. I'm starting to like it even better and it brings out the carbon fiber trims even more, it's absolutely beautiful. colgate.gif

Alright I got my Raybans, I was going to go Oakley, but they seemed too generic... I ended up gettinh two pairs of Raybans actually haha.

Pair number 1. - $349

user posted image

The second pair were only $139 without the discount, they have 90% glare reduction instead of 100% (I dunno how the f*ck they measure that.) But since I already bought a pair I got $50 off so It was only $90, the lens tint is a kinda greeny in the sunlight.

I also bought a FCUK shirt for $30, nothing special.
