@ DP Man: Bloody nice line-up! I didn't even know Saves The Day were still going wow.gif Have a good time, man.

I read Bill Bryson's book, A Short History Of Nearly Everything, and it just blew me away so I thought I'd treat myself to this:

So far, it's bloody brilliant.

This is something I've been meaning to read for a very long time (no pun intended):

One of my recent purchases is a Olympus AZ-1 Zoom film camera made in 1987.

It should arrive in a few days.

I like older film cameras a lot and especially Olympus cameras.

icon14.gif to TheGreatGig23 and Ptikobj for your purchases. And icon14.gificon14.gif to trip. I'm really liking Tim Doyle's stuff at the moment, especially the Simpsons pieces.

My latest is a shirt. Nothing too special about that, but I saw it on Amazon for £40, which I thought was a little steep, but I was considering going for it anyway as I couldn't find it anywhere else for less. Then I had the idea to do a reverse image search on Google, which proved to be an inspired move as I found a pretty obscure site selling the exact same shirt for £17.50 as part of a February promotion. Result.

I bought two records by Romanian composer Adrian Enescu for like 4$ (including shipping). In fact I bought one record and the other was added as a bonus by the seller, he also sent me the package for free and I had to send him the money afterwards. It was weird because I've never seen anybody trust strangers like that, I could have chosen not to pay him but I actually paid him double as a sign of good will.

lol.gif I don't even have a turntable but I had to buy those records since the price was so good and the records are rare, I'll buy a turntable in the future.

I had a hell of a time when I bought my last turn table. Oddly enough they aren't easily available these days.

I say get one of those USB turn tables. That way you can rip your vinyl into MP3s all nice and easy like.

I'm sort of an audiophile and I'm skeptical about those kinds of turntables, and ripping music from records shouldn't be done in MP3, it's not like they are CD rips. Vinyl has much more audio quality than the ordinary 16 bit CD audio.

I really need to start rebuilding my rock collection after the move, so I guess I would start with Deep Purple. They were about fifteen dollars each.

I hear ya. I grew up with vinyl and am proud of my collection. I don't own one of those USB turntables, but I did rip a good portion of my collection to MP3. Aside from feeling the need to archive it, there is a ton of sh*t that I still listen to that is long out of print. Just like the days of making a cassette copy to use in the car or walkman, 'cept now it is an mp3 player.

And just because it is still up here from the last session of ripping albums - here is my most recent turntable purchase

Trip, absolutely love that print. I love how moody the Kwik-E-Mart one is too, gorgeous colours.

Good call on the reverse image search too, David. I've never even thought to use it for something quite do practical. It's a long shot sure, but it worked for you.

Just been browsing eBay on my phone and thought I'd treat myself to some Adidas Instinct Mids.

I really want that Kwik-E-Mart one but it is a bit pricey. I still have a chance for a signed limited(100) Strickland Propane. I was too busy come auction time but the reserve wasn't met. I wrote the dude in hopes he will sell it outright to me.

I'll stop my rambling and go to bed now.

That's an awesome game, man. Have you played it before?

This is what I'm having for tea tonight. I must add that it'll look nowhere near as good as this one does.

What mobo form factor is that?

I got a Dell Precision M60 (delivered to the wrong address, I might as well admit)

It replaces a Dell Latitude D800 that I'd been using for ages, saving the drive, pawned the old one, built another, originally it was a BoxShop special, and it was a nice bargain machine, not thought to work, but it did, Kept it in my car, for a few days, it wound up stolen... Another bad mistake on my part, however, though you may never wind up with one, the Precision M60 outperforms the D800, nearly identical except for higher system RAM speeds, and yep, for gaming I felt that was the performance edge I need!

Speaking of shoes, keeping an eBay eye on Nike Cortez, replacing Asic' Tigers, I had two pairs of those and I wound up wearing both out! haha

It's just the main A/V board for the monitor.

Dual DVI, noted that. Some servers and smaller HT boxes have a flat PCB, but since I scour mobos, it gets confusing with all the many types out there

I'm looking to advance Dell laptops at some point (price often a factor), if I do, move from Precision M60 to Precision M90. for a good price however, my quest always revolves around what I think is a good deal

I heard the movie referenced on Law and Order, after the posting here, so speak of the Devil!

Laptop came today and works, better then expected, missing the memory door and HDD caddy, but the DVD RW that came with it works! I found a PATA to Compact Flash card adapter and PATA to SATA Dell adapters for both C and D series Latitudes, just what the doctor ordered considering the price of PATA hard disks for laptops, compare them to HDD SATAs from former working PS3 and Xboxes!??! There's no sign of any Thailand flooding there!
