Only the first lot because I'm poor and it was on offer lol. I last played this when you could legally get smacked for being a little sh*t.

I've bought an official Nokia case for my Nokia 5, like the one in the image above but all black:

A1de2VRYcwL._SY606_.jpg

It's both the first time I've bought a premium case for a phone and the first time I don't use just a single flimsy silicon case during all a device's life cycle. It feels pretty good, it has a nice grip and looks simple but neither plain nor tasteless.

I still gotta get used to my phone feeling like a brick weighting nearly twice its weight, but even though I'm always careful with my devices, having the extra protection is handy given there were several occasions through the years my phones didn't got broken from a drop just thanks to luck. This still has to be the first rugged phone case that pleases me, for some reason companies seem to think that roughness equals flashy designs with pointless gimmicks.

I stopped using phone cases some time ago, only a screen protector now. The sensations just aren't the same with it on xD

I totally understand it. All my previous phones were made out of plastic so it was like "whatever, it feels bad either way", but the Nokia has a nice aluminium body that feels great in the hand. Still, I'd rather have the peace of mind, even if it's a "cheap" phone (that really comes down to your perspective, it definitely didn't felt cheap for me...), I like to think when I'm at home playing around with it in the bed I can take off the case without fear of dropping it, and then enjoy my phone in absolutely mint condition.

It also increases the resale value, my previous device is in absolutely mint condition after 2 years of use, I have it to my dad but if I were to sell it I'd make substantially more cash than if it was all beaten and scuffed up.

To replace my SM951 and free that up so it can go in my laptop, which won't play ball with NVMe drives.

How do you like it? is it fully loaded? The lease on my Jeep Compass is coming up soon and thinking about switching to a car and the Sentra is one of the few I was looking at

I don’t think it’s fully loaded, there are some options I think you can get that aren’t in my car like a touch screen, Apple/Android CarPlay, Bluetooth input for streaming media, reverse camera, keyless ignition.  But it has power windows, power locks, USB input for the stereo, an “eco” mode which lowers fuel use by limiting a few systems in the car, and a sport mode which pretty much does the opposite and gives you a nice boost in acceleration power.  Even without sport mode it’s got a bit of pep, nothing to write home about, but it’s not a bad car.  I’m enjoying it.

That all said, I believe there are more models in the Sentra line that offer more, I really just went to CarMax and found the cheapest/newest one with the most options on the lot.  I didn’t do a ton of research on Sentra.  I kind of wish I went to a Nissan dealer first, just to see what a fully loaded model was like.  But I’m happy with it.

Nice if you fill your mouth up with cheap Euro Shopper chocolate, dunk a biscuit in your coffee then take a bite, then mix together in your mouth with a swig of coffee.

I generally don't wear flashy sneakers.  I'm just pissed that I can't get my black G Vilas anymore, so I bought these.

Got some bright yellow Filco Ninja WASD keys.

Not sure how I like them with the standard keycaps on the rest of the keyboard, but they were only a fiver and super easy to swap.

Filco don't make RGB keyboards, but they do make the best mechanical keyboards in the world from the perspective of tactility and build quality. It's one or t'other unfortunately.

You wouldn't be able to tell that from photos. They look like $10 keyboards and I would kinda feel ripped off based on looks alone if I paid $100+ for one. Some people prefer switches other than Cherry. I'm not sure if the hype is that real. I'm not a keyboard nerd.

I have a cheaper Redragon that does the job. Switches are a bit unresponsive at times but I had a few spares. I wish I could still find the white Tesoro Gram Spectrum though the low profile keys are kinda weird.

I've had a few mechanicals now- Cherry, Corsair and Filco- and tried a few with knock off Cherry switches (which seems to be what a significant proportion of the market are moving towards now). The Filco is head and shoulders above the rest in terms of build quality and tactility, and to be honest I want my keyboard to be as good a keyboard as it can possibly be, not moonlight as a disco ball.

They're plain/traditional, yes, but all the best (from the perspective of feel and build quality) ones are. Topre are pretty similar in that department. I wouldn't say they look "cheap" though; the actual materials and quality finish are far better than you get from the likes of Corsair.

I'm genuinely not sure why people obsess over RGB everything- I get the edge case need for macro switches if you're an RPGer- but IMO bolting lots of flashy lights to a keyboard adds cost and complexity, reduces reliability and adds no actual functional benefit.

I got into a debate with someone over RGB which eventually boiled down to them saying "if it doesn't have RGB it isn't worth it" - quote from a guy running an APU. RGB can look nice if done right to compliment the cases aesthetic but when you have RGB fans/motherboards/aio pumps/psus/cases/keyboards/mice/mousepads etc it just ends up looking like a Year 6 school disco or a Vauxhall Nova in McDonalds carpark circa 2000. Let's not forget needing to run Aura Sync, Corsair Link, NZXT Cam, Aorus, Masterfan etc or whatever other software they bundle with it.
