Strengthcamp
Does it have something to do with the lighting being pre-calculated? Or objects? The lights shine onto steep roads and stairs but not buildings, did anyone try to do this?
Deji
Because Rockstar were too lazy. EDIT: To be honest, they're not. But they had been concentrating on other minor things that are barely noticable in SA. They're still only building up the game engine at this point. Strengthcamp
What do you mean by still building it up? Are you saying they still work on SA, or they still work on headlights and such but on IV era engines? --edit- Deji, your inbox is full Edited June 19, 2011 by Jbenz1
Adler
The SA engine only uses a particle texture on the ground for the headlights while IV's engine actually has lighting for the headlights.
DSMTuner
Alright, since this topic is about lighting. Can someone explain why this yellow light shines on the car?
spaceeinstein
Lights can shine on cars and peds since GTA III. They just can't shine on map objects. Edited June 23, 2011 by spaceeinstein
DSMTuner
There's no way to edit how the lights shine onto cars, is there?
