Funktipus
I was hoping he'd pull through after his recent heart attack, but I just saw on the news 'The Big Man' passed away at age 69.

Robinski
I'd never really heard of the guy until recently (as in, the last few weeks). Obviously I'd heard the stuff he did in the E Street band with Springsteen, but I never really thought about the members other than the frontman. But looking through his wiki page it's a f*cking who's who of musical (and TV/Film) legends that he worked with. Looks like we lost one of those big guys who does a lot of work almost in the background but has made a major contribution to the industry. Sad to hear that he didn't recover from the stroke, at least he was only suffering for less than a week though, I guess. danjodan
Why is it that I dont notice the best artists until they die? But RIP Clerence Clemons, he was young.

I forgot he played on Aretha Franklin's classic 80s hit, "Freeway of Love".

trip
He used to show up and play with the Grateful Dead every now and then too. Now that he is dead I kind of feel bad for not liking when he would show up with The Dead. He was a damn fine sax player and I'm sorry to see him go sooner than later.
