LIVE TV I think they should have a channel on the tv in gta 5 called "Rockstar TV" it will only be avaible in Multiplayer basicly it will show a police chase of a friend or random person in freemode , maybe from the point of view of a helicopter camera, any other ideas are welcome? LIVE RADIO Live radio will only be avaible if you connected to the internet (Xbox LIVE or PSN)and will be called "Rockstar FM" it will play songs not released with the gta game (other radio stations) and will announce news of gta (DLC , Events etc...) i very much doubt more than Live Tv because theyll have to buy licenses to songs etc. So guys tell me your ideas and please don't flame etc if this is breaking any rules just lock thank you and looking forward to your ideas guys. Something for the community to be updated with news etc. Test Drive Unlimited 2 had a TV with a media channel in your house, although it was never used to it's full potential (cause atari and eden have basicaly f*cked up and are loosing money by the day) - there was a weather channel where you could check the weather over a period of hours. There was a community channel too that was similar to the Brief menu in GTA's pause screen, basically listed everything you've unlocked and new achievements etc as well as a DLC channel. But it was never used properly even though it had alot of potential to be a cool and useful feature. I think GTA would make better use out of it, giving you a place to get all information about your progress as well as news from R* and something similar to the Social Club where you can see the crimes in certain areas by other players, browse leaderboards - there's so much that could be done with a simple feature like this. The most would we can expect is videos from The Social Club. Which isnt a bad feature at all. Allowing the user to create their own shows and merchandise for the world of GTA Next. rootmanback Posted June 19, 2011 Share Posted June 19, 2011 max payne 3 multiplayer lol thatll never happen. they never had it for mp1 and neither thtat for mp2. it could happen, but cos it didnt have it for the past 2 gams it would make it unlikely. i thought it was cool that we could be able to watch tv ingame as it added to the immersion of the game and a nice distraction it was too. but i agree what you said that they should take that concept further and make the tv have that aspect of being able to check out other peoples clips of their multiplayer gaming. while were on the subject of wanting to have all things live ingame, if youre gonna have the tv and radio to be fully functioning ingame, then the internet ingame should have that concept taken further as well. i just thought it was cool that even tho it was just for laughs that you check out the other funny ingame sites, it could work if it was also a live and functional device that could have that social club aspect. you could also be able to pick between viewing an ingame internet only type of thing and a real web browser type of thing if you really wanna use it to check out facebook, youtube, yahoo, etc. that ingame site in gtaiv thats like similiar to youtube thats like always unavailable to view any clips due to not having that play function thing i think rockstar shouldve made them enabled to view all other clips as it would add to the ridiculous nature of the game, maybe have it work better in the next gta game. i have to ask, is it possibile to mod the ingame internet in a way that you could use it to access real sits like google and facebook etc? has there been any progress in that way? This has given me another great idea maybe a ingame site which is a spoof of youtube? maybe called mytube but with clips people have made with the ingame theater mode (it was another one of my ideas) And to the person who said "1 flaw , multiplayer has no tv" umm maybe they could add em? rootmanback Posted June 20, 2011 Share Posted June 20, 2011 @racecarlock: how do you actually do that, linking ustream and live steam to the ingame tv in iv? it would be a nice lil distraction to have when youre not shooting up people or smashing cars around n stuff. @darkconner: cool, id like to be able to view other's creations of what they do with their ingame theater mode. can you make one dark? cookie for a reward i just had a lightbulb moment; you know how everyone has smartphones now, where you can use it for webbrowsing and emails and getting apps and gps-like functionality etc. i hated how that if you wanted to do brucies missions you'd go to a [email protected] cafe and log on and accept a mission to steal a car, every lil time . would it be possible to bring all the ingame web content and put it into the ingame phone? if not could it be done where you can make a smaller version of the ingame internet sites and put it into the phone? and also i was just thinking that when we're not near a tv to watch all these shows ingame we could b able to view all of them on our phones too. thesedays you could use your phone to watch all sorts of sh1t now. is it feasible? i just remembered one time in the game where niko recieved a pic sent to his phone by roman that showed a chick's ass. i could see roman sending niko all sorts of other sh1t on his phone, not just pics but videos too. viewing video and other shows on the phone in game, can that be done? it would add a lot of humour thats currently missing in the game where it has gotton to realism levels and only a small bit of humour has been shown as of late. currently the only game other than gta4 that has the humour and the ridiculousness of it all is the saint row series. its like the best in open world gaming atm and would be cool if gta got that crown back. However, IMO that is only if (1) the live radio itself is interesting enough to keep us playing the game, when else we wouldnt. Or (2) if the games "stored radio" simply wouldnt have enough longlasting appeal, demanding a constant input of new radio matherial (that is if the average player spends an insane amount of time playing the game). As for radio they could hold back all the voice work they have or create more dialogue for the DJ/hosts and have monthly updates to add new songs, adverts and dialogue.
