kamil121
Hey guys. Im going to college soon. And i need a netbook.Im doing music managment & production so i need a neat, small netbook. something i can use for working on projects, it must be able to run fruity loops thats most important part about it. and i wouldnt mind it running some classics like nfs underground, fallout tactics and of course most important GRAND THEFT AUTO san andreas on medium graphics. I got 350 euro to spend on it so give me some names. Brands im interested in. HP MSI Asus Oh i almost forgot. And me, and my parents are getting my sister a laptop. Something to fit her personality. She's 14, She's a great student and She's in love with The Sims series. It needs to be a nice handy laptop she can use for playing the game and doing school stuff. we decided on a limit up to 400 euro. Remember it needs to be light, handle some games like sims 3 and some other games. basicly. A laptop able to run newer games, not too heavy. not too big. Same brands as for my netbook. thanks
Waste
It's going to be a long stretch to find a netbook that will handle music production for a decent price. Most of them are way too slow and there isn't much screen space. As far as for your sister, could you link a site that will ship to you so one can be found? Ryan
As already said, a netbook isn't going to work for what you say you want to do. A netbook is meant for basic web browsing and that's about it. Here's a couple around your price range: Asus K52F Laptop - £362.22 HP G62-452SA Laptop - £339.
Stinky12
Got myself a HP mini 311 which is one of the powerful models during its time. It has a 11.6" screen, upgradable to 3GB DDR3, and even lets you play a few games with the Nvidia ION platform. It does have a weakness and that's the CPU, luckly the Atom has HT so you get 2 threads in Windows. This netbooks is discontinued, but right now there are more powerful models with dual core Atom+ION(2) and some even have Nvidia Optimus. For your needs, look at notebook with 12-14" screen size (15" max.) as the larger it gets, the heavier it becomes and one with discrete graphics. You can begin with AMD base as their cheaper and have better graphics compared to Intel weak IGP solutions. For your sis, something along 13-14" will be fine and again it needs discrete graphics! Gaming on HP mini 311 (not my clip).

King Mystery
You should get an HP. I got a new HP a month or so ago and it works pretty well. So far I've had no problems with it. My last computer, however, which was a Dell, crashed twice. The first time I tried replacing the hard drive, which didn't work, so I ended up having to re-install all the software discs and crap that came with it. >_> The second time the hard drive work. It works now, but it still has Internet Explorer 6 or 7, and it can be slow sometimes.
